Regulations and Rates for Storage and Delivery of
Goods at the Lyttelton Railway Station in sub-
stitution of Clause 43 of By-laws and Regulations
for Canterbury Railways fixed by Order in Coun-
cil dated 26th October, 1875.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this
sixth day of March, 1877.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

I N pursuance of the power and authority vested in
him by the one hundred and forty-fifth section of
"The Public Works Act, 1876," and of all other
powers and authorities in any wise enabling him, His
Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zea-
land, by and with the advice of the Executive Council
thereof, doth hereby make the following Regulations
for Storage and Delivery of Goods at the Lyttelton
Railway Station, and doth declare that the same shall
come into force from the day of the date hereof, and
shall be in lieu of clause 43 of the By-Laws and
Regulations for the Canterbury Railways fixed by
Order in Council dated 26th October, 1875, so far as
it relates to the Lyttelton Railway Station.

Any goods, merchandise, or luggage forwarded for
shipment which shall not be taken delivery of by the
consignee within five working hours after arrival in
Lyttelton, and which shall not be shipped within that
time, may be stored at the risk of the consignees or
owners (or may be kept in the railway wagons at the
option of the Railway Department) up to forty-eight
working hours, for which a distinct charge of two
shillings per ton will be made for storage and delivery
to ship; afterwards threepence per ton per week or
fraction thereof will be charged for storage for two
weeks; after two weeks, sixpence per ton per week
or fraction thereof: Provided that delivery must be
taken at any time on demand after three weeks'
storage. Haulage and delivery from private stores
to wharves, one shilling and sixpence per ton.

of New Zealand.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this
eighth day of March, 1877.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

W HEREAS by the seventh section of "The New
Zealand University Act, 1874," (hereinafter

called "the said Act,") it is, among other things,
enacted, that until a Convocation shall be constituted
the Governor in Council shall appoint persons to fill
up all vacancies in the Senate by resignation or
otherwise:

And whereas a Convocation has not yet been con-
stituted: And whereas by the fourteenth section of
the said Act, it is, amongst other things, enacted that
any Fellow who shall fail to attend at two consecutive
annual meetings shall cease to be a Fellow of the
University: And whereas Sir George Alfred Arney,
the Right Rev. Dr. Croke, Henry Samuel Chapman,
Esq., the Hon. Thomas Fraser, James Hector, Esq.,
His Honor James Macandrew, and the Hon. Henry
John Miller, in consequence of their having failed to
attend at two consecutive annual meetings of the
Senate, have ceased to be Fellows of the University:
And whereas it is expedient to fill up the vacancies
so caused:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor, by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the Colony, in exercise and pursuance of
the power and authority in that behalf vested in him,
doth hereby appoint the following persons to be
Fellows of the University:β€”

CHRISTOPHER WILLIAM RICHMOND, Esquire, a
Judge of the Supreme Court.
The Right Rev. FRANCIS REDWOOD, D.D., Roman
Catholic Bishop.

Land reserved for a Resting-place and Commonage
for Cattle.

NORMANBY, Governor.

I N pursuance of the power and authority in me
vested in this behalf by the twenty-second sec-
tion of "The Westland Waste Lands Act, 1870," I
hereby reserve the land in the Provincial District of
Westland, the boundaries whereof are described in
the Schedule hereunto annexed, and for the purpose
in the said Schedule specified.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this fifth day of March, one
thousand eight hundred and seventy-
seven.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land containing by admeasurement
twenty-five (25) acres, more or less, situate in the
Arahura District. Bounded on the Northward by
the south side of the Christchurch road; on the
Westward by Section No. 1953; on the Southward
by the Kawhaka Creek; and on the Eastward by a
straight line to include the quantity, and numbered
155 in red.

For a reserve for a resting-place and commonage
for cattle.
