Governor has been pleased to appoint Monday,
the 12th February, at 7 p.m., to be the day on which
the Waimakariri Harbour Board shall hold its first
meeting; the place of meeting to be the Kaiapoi
Borough Council Chambers.

INQUIRIES have been made for a person named
JOSEPH WILLIAM BOWLER,
who came to New Zealand in the ship "Waikato,"
and was last heard of by his friends in England in
April, 1875, when he requested his letters might be
sent to Post Office, Christchurch, as he was going
up country with Surveyors.
He is about 5 feet 9 inches in height, of slight
build, and has dark complexion, and is about 29
years of age.
Any person possessing information respecting the
person above named is requested to communicate the
same to this office.

named
KATHERINE MAHON,
who came to New Zealand in the "Carnatic" in
1874.
She has dark hair and eyes, round features, and
has a small scar on her forehead.
She lived when in England at 38, St. Clement's
Road, Notting Hill, London.
Any person possessing information respecting the
above-named person is requested to communicate the
same to this office.
