Onehunga Wharf Rates (Addition to).
IN accordance with the By-laws for the New Zea-
land Railways fixed by Order in Council dated
the seventeenth day of April, 1877, the following
addition to the rates for the Onehunga Wharf pub-
lished in the New Zealand Gazette No. 97, of the
sixth of December instant, is hereby declared to be
fixed, and shall be paid by persons using the said
wharf on and from the twenty-second instant, until
altered.

UNDER and in pursuance of the powers vested in
me by an Act of the Provincial Council of the
late Province of Auckland, intituled "The Impound-
ing Act, 1867," and "The Abolition of Provinces Act,
1875," I, George Augustus Constantine, Marquis of
Normanby, the Governor of the Colony of New
Zealand, do hereby appoint the premises situated
upon a by-road off Tiki Road, near the Church of
England, within the Coromandel Highway District,
to be a Public Pound for the purposes of the said
"Impounding Act, 1867."
As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this eighteenth day of Decem-
ber, one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-seven.

"The Abolition of Provinces Act, 1875," I, George
Augustus Constantine, Marquis of Normanby, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby
approve of the appointment by the Coromandel
Highway Board of
ALEXANDER BOWDEN
to be Keeper of the Public Pound at Coromandel,
within the Coromandel Highway District.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this eighteenth day of Decem-
ber, one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-seven.

to take and charge the several fees and prices specified
in the Schedule hereto for the matters and things
therein specified.

a day during which the animal is kept in pound.
II. Charges for Food.

The above charges to be paid for each day or part
of a day during which the animal is supplied with
food and water by the Poundkeeper; but the owner
may supply food and water, in which case these
charges are not to be made.
III. Charges for giving Notice of Impounding.
The charges for giving notice of the impounding
of cattle to the owner thereof, or his agent, shall be
computed at the rate of 1s. per mile or part of
a mile of the distance between the Public Pound
and the usual place of residence of such owner or
agent, as the case may be.
IV. Charges for giving Public Notice under the
20th Section of the said Act of the Impounding of
Cattle.

nearest Post Office and Police Station... 2 6
For inserting notice of impounding in the pro-
vincial Gazette or any other local paper, the usual
charges for such advertisements.

Authorizing the taking and laying down of Roads
over Lands granted to Natives in Wellington.

WHEREAS by an Act of the General Assembly
intituled "The Native Lands Act, 1873," it is
enacted that, from and out of any land which may
have heretofore been or may be granted under the
provisions of any of the Acts hereby repealed, or of
that Act, it shall be lawful for the Governor, at any
time thereafter, to take and lay off for public pur-
poses one or more line or lines of road or railway
through the said lands: Provided that the total
