A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the twentieth section of "The
Public Works Act, 1876," it is enacted that
the Governor may, by Proclamation, from time to
time reserve such parts of the waste lands of the
Crown as he thinks fit, for railways, roads, bridges,
ferries, or for any other public works constructed
under the authority of this Act:
And whereas it is expedient that the land described
in the Schedule hereto should be reserved for the
purpose therein mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the
authority vested in me by the above-named Act, do
hereby proclaim and declare that the parcel of land
described in the Schedule hereto annexed is reserved
and set apart for the purpose in the said Schedule
mentioned.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial
District of Otago, being Section numbered forty-five
(45), Block fifteen (XV.), Invercargill Hundred, con-
taining two (2) acres one (1) rood and ten (10) poles,
more or less, bounded as follows, namely,—Towards
the North by public road, five hundred (500) links;
towards the East by Railway Reserve, four hundred
and sixty-three (463) links; towards the South by
public road, five hundred (500) links; and towards
the West by public road, four hundred and sixty-
three (463) links; as the section in question is
shown on the working plan of said block and
district deposited in the Survey Office, Invercargill.
