Alteration of Subdivisions of Waikouaiti Road
District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section 7 of "The Otago Road
Ordinance 1871 Amendment Ordinance,
1874," it is provided, that it shall be lawful for
the Superintendent of the Province of Otago, upon
the recommendation of the Provincial Council of
the said province, from time to time, by Proclamation,
to alter the boundaries of any road district, and
either to enlarge or diminish the area thereof; also
to increase or diminish the number of subdivisions
of any road district, and to alter the boundaries,
and to increase or diminish the area of any sub-
division or subdivisions of any road district, not-
withstanding that any district or any subdivision
or subdivisions of any district may already have
been constituted by the said Ordinance or by any
Proclamation thereunder:

And whereas by section 7 of "The Abolition of
Provinces Act, 1875," it is enacted that all powers,
duties, and functions which, immediately before the
date of the abolition thereunder of any province,
were, under or by virtue of any law not expressly or
impliedly repealed or altered thereby, vested in or
to be exercised by the Superintendent of such abo-
lished province, either alone or with the advice and
consent of or on the recommendation of the Execu-
tive or Provincial Council of such province, or other-
wise as therein mentioned, shall, on the day of the
date of the abolition of such province, and for the
purposes of the district included within such abo-
lished province, vest in and be exercised by the
Governor:

Now therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that
the boundaries of the subdivisions of the Waikouaiti
Road District are hereby altered, and shall be re-
spectively as follows:β€”

WARRINGTON SUBDIVISION.

Is bounded towards the South by part of Block II.,
North Harbour and Blueskin Survey District, to the
Main North Road; thence towards the West by said
road line to the northern boundary of Section 40,
Block I., Waikouaiti Survey District, and being the
north-western corner of said section; thence towards
the North by the said northern boundary of Section 40
and Sections 41, 42, 43, and part of 44 of said block;
thence again towards the West by the western
boundary of Section 71; thence again towards the
North by the northern boundaries of Sections 71,
72, and 73; thence again towards the West by the
western boundaries of Sections 76, 79, and 82; thence
again towards the North by the northern boundaries
of Sections 82 and part of 81 of said Block I.; thence
again towards the West by the western boundary of
Section 28, Block III.; thence by a straight line from
the north-western corner of said Section 28 to the
south-eastern corner of Section 16 of said block;
thence again towards the West by the eastern
boundary of said Section 16 and Section 15 of said
block; thence towards the North-east by the Native
reserve to the ocean; thence towards the South-east
by the ocean and Blueskin Bay to the starting point.

BEACONSFIELD SUBDIVISION.

Is bounded towards the East by the western
boundaries of Sections 82, 79, and 76, Block I.,
Waikouaiti; towards the South by the northern
boundaries of Sections 73, 72, and 71 of said block;
thence again towards the East by the western boun-
dary of Section 71; thence again towards the South
by the northern boundary of Sections 44, 43, 42, and
41 of said block; thence again towards the South
and South-east by the Main North Road; thence
towards the South by the southern boundaries of
Sections 24, 23, 22, and 2 of 21 of said block; thence
