sole judge-will render the Contractor liable to have
the work taken out of his hands and executed else-
where; any extra expense incurred in so doing may
be deducted out of any moneys then due or to become
due to the Contractor.
The Government Printer, or any person acting for
him, may reject any work that shall appear to him
improperly done or with improper materials, and
require the Contractor to have the same done properly,
or he may have such work properly done elsewhere
at the cost of the Contractor; or he may, if he thinks
fit, accept such work, making a proportionate reduc-
tion in respect of such improper workmanship or
materials. In either case, the Government Printer,
or any person acting for him, may make a deduction
out of any moneys then due or to become due to the
Contractor.
Contractors failing to take up or perform their
accepted tenders will be disqualified from tendering
for Government work for a period of twelve months
from the date of acceptation.
A bond for the sum of £300-the Contractor in
the sum of £100, and two approved sureties £100
each-for the due performance of the contract, will
be required to be entered into within a month of the
acceptance of the tender; failing which fresh tenders
may be again advertised for, or any other of the pre-
vious tenders accepted.
