to be Receiver of Gold Revenue at Lyell, in the
Province of Nelson, as from the 31st January, 1876.

Reserve for Public Purposes in the Province of
Taranaki.
WHEREAS by the Regulations for the sale and
disposal of lands taken under the authority of
"The New Zealand Settlements Act, 1863," and
"The New Zealand Settlements Amendment and
Continuance Act, 1865," contained in the Schedule
to an Order in Council made and issued, bearing date
the 11th day of May, 1871, it is provided that reserves
for roads, and all other public purposes whatever, and
for education, and the sites for churches and chapels
or other places of worship for different religious
denominations, may be made by Government out of
any confiscated lands, and that notices of all such
reserves shall be published in the New Zealand
Gazette: It is hereby notified that the lands speci-
fied in the Schedule hereunder written shall be
reserved for the purposes therein mentioned and set
opposite the descriptions of the said parcels of land
respectively.

Tenders for Bookbinding.

TENDERS for Bookbinding required by the New
Zealand Government during the twelve calendar
months commencing from the 1st April next, will be
received at this Office until noon on Monday, the
21st instant.
TENDERS.
Tenders must be enclosed in an envelope marked
"Tender for Bookbinding," and deposited in the
Tender Box at the Colonial Secretary's Office,
Wellington, or (if sent by post) addressed to the
Hon. the Colonial Secretary, Wellington.
Tenderers to submit samples of the leather and
cloth with their tenders.
The tenders to include cost of carriage to and from
the Department from which the work is received.
The Government will not necessarily accept the
lowest or any tender.
CONDITIONS.
The Contractor will be required to execute such
work only as the Government Printer may find it
necessary to give out.
All work placed in the hands of the Contractor
must be executed as expeditiously as possible. Any
unnecessary delay—and of this the Government
Printer, or any person acting for him, shall be the
