hereby alter and amend the boundaries of the Albert-
land South Highway District, as hereunder set forth.

THE ALBERTLAND SOUTH HIGHWAY DISTRICT.
Amended Boundaries.
BOUNDED on the North by Te Hana River, from the
Oruawharo River to the north-west angle of Lot 104
of the Parish of Oruawharo; thence by the north-
eastern boundary of Lot 104 aforesaid to the eastern
boundary of the Oruawharo Block; towards the
South-east by the eastern and south-eastern bound-
aries of the Oruawharo Block aforesaid to the
northern side of the road at the easternmost angle
of Lot 125 of the Parish of Oruawharo, known as
Fairburn's Road, and which traverses part of the
Pakiri Block; thence by the eastern and southern
sides of said road to the south-eastern boundary of
the Oruawharo Block aforesaid, at the south-eastern
boundary of Lot 148 of the Parish of Oruawharo afore-
said; thence by the south-eastern boundary of the
Oruawharo Block aforesaid to the centre of the road
which forms the south-eastern boundary of Lot 9 of
the Parish of Wharehine; thence by said road to its
junction with the road which forms the south-
western boundary of Lots 9 and 8 of last-named
parish; on the South-west by the centre of the road
which forms the south-western boundary of Lots 9
and 8 before mentioned to the Paraheke Native
Reserve; thence by part of the southern and by the
eastern boundary of said Native Reserve to the
Waireia Creek, and by said creek and the Wharehine
River to Te Tanuka; on the North-west by the
Oruawharo River from Te Tanuka aforesaid to Te
Hana River, the place of commencement.

Public Notification.
BY virtue of the powers in me vested by Warrant
dated 1st November, 1876, under the hand of
His Excellency the Governor, and in pursuance of
section 7 of "The Highways Act, 1874," I do hereby
notify that, from and after the date hereof, all that
portion of the Province of Auckland hereunder
described shall be a district under the said Act, and
that such district shall be known by the name of
THE WHAKATANE HIGHWAY DISTRICT.
Commencing at the South Head of the Whakatane
River. Bounded towards the North by high water-
mark of the sea from the South Head of the Whaka-
tane River aforesaid to the mouth of the Waiotahi
River; towards the East by the Waiotahi River
aforesaid to the Confiscation Boundary Line; to-
wards the South by the Confiscation Boundary Line
aforesaid to the place of its intersection by the
Whakatane River aforesaid; and towards the West
by the Whakatane River aforesaid to the sea at the
South Head of the same, the place of commencement.
