Block 1, District of Awatere; thence along that
boundary to Maxwell Pass Stream, thence by
the Maxwell Pass Stream to the watershed,
thence by a tributary of the Taylor River to the
Taylor River at the base of the hill called "The
Maori," thence by the eastern side of the Taylor
Pass Road to its junction with the road between
Sections 28 and 48, Omaka; thence by that road
to the western side of the Taylor Pass Road,
thence by the western side of the Taylor Pass
Road to the junction of the Taylor Pass Creek
with the Taylor River, thence by the Taylor
River to the summit of the dividing range
between the Wairau and Awatere Valleys, and
by that summit to Barefell Pass; thence towards
the West and South by Amuri County and
Kaikoura County to the mouth of the Clarence
River; and towards the East by the ocean to
Cape Campbell, the starting point.

Omaka—cont.
Sections 50 and 51, in the said district; thence
towards the East by the western boundary of
Sections 51 and 3, in the said district, to the
Omaka River; thence by the Omaka River to
the western boundary of Section 5, in the said
district; thence towards the East by that
boundary to the north-west corner of Section 6,
in the said district; thence towards the South
and West by the Wairau Riding to the Spring
Creek Riding, at the junction of the Wairau and
Opawa Rivers. Also all that portion of the
county bounded towards the North-west by the
Spring Creek Riding; thence towards the West
by the Opawa River to Section 47, in the Dis-
trict of Opawa; thence towards the West,
North-west, and North by Sections 46 and 47,
in the District of Opawa, and Part 1 of Section
1, and Sections 2, 4, and 6, in the District of
Omaka, to the Wairau Riding; thence towards
the West and South by the Wairau and Awatere
Ridings to the mouth of the Awatere River:
thence towards the East and North by the sea
to the mouth of the Wairau River; thence by
the north bank of the Wairau River to a point
in transit with the eastern boundary of Section
32, in the District of Wairau West; thence by
a right line to the Spring Creek Riding, at the
north-eastern corner of Section 32, in the said
District of Wairau West.

Wairau
Bounded towards the North and East by the
Onamalutu Creek from its junction with the
Wairau River to the south-west corner of Section
No. 106, in the District of Kaituna; thence by
the western boundaries of Sections 106 and 107,
in the said district; thence by a line to the
nearest point on the summit of the watershed
between the Onamalutu and Kaituna Valleys,
thence by that watershed to the summit of the
dividing range between the Pelorus and Wairau
Valleys, thence by that summit to Mount Rin-
Picton
Bounded towards the South by the north
bank of the Wairau River, from its mouth to
the junction of the Waikakaho Stream; thence
towards the West by the Waikakaho Stream to
its source; thence towards the West and North
by the summit of the dividing range between
the Kaituna and Mahakipawa and Waitohai
Valleys to a point in transit with a line bearing
N. 60° W., to the deep-water landing-place at
the Grove; thence by the waters of Queen
Charlotte Sound to Karaka Point; thence
towards the East by Sounds County and the
ocean to the mouth of the Wairau River. But
excluding the Town of Picton, as defined in "The
Picton Improvement Act, 1861."

Spring Creek
Bounded towards the West, North, and East
by the River Wairau, from the separation of the
Rivers Wairau and Opawa to the north-eastern
end of the road between Sections 28 and 32,
Wairau West; thence towards the South-east
by that line of road to the southern corner of
Section 30; thence towards the South-west by
a road between Sections 30 and 29 to the northern
corner of Section 29, thence by the north-
western boundary of Section 29 to Section 33,
thence by the boundary line between Sections
33 and 29 to the River Opawa; thence by a line
along the centre of that river to the western
corner of Section 37, Wairau West; thence by
a line along the centre of the new channel of
the River Opawa to the south-western corner of
Section 85, Wairau West; thence by a line
along the centre of the old channel of the River
Opawa to the River Wairau at the first-named
point.

Pelorus
Bounded towards the East and North by the
Picton Riding and Sounds County, from the
mouth of the Waikakaho Stream to Mount
Elliott; towards the. West by Waimea County,
to the summit of the range between the Pelorus
and the Wairau Valleys; thence towards the
South by the Wairau Riding to the Onamalutu
Creek, and by that creek to the Wairau River;
thence towards the South by the Wairau River
to the Picton Riding. Excluding the Town of
Havelock, as defined in "The Picton and Have-
lock Improvement Act, 1869."

Omaka
Bounded towards the North by the Spring
Creek Riding, from the junction of the Wairau
and Opawa Rivers to the north-east corner of
Section 50, in the District of Omaka; thence
towards the South by the northern boundary of
Havelock
Bounded towards the North and East by the
waters of Pelorus Sound, from the north-west
corner of Section 97, Town of Havelock, to a
point in transit with the southern boundary of
Section No. 219, in the said town; thence to-
wards the South by a right line to the south-
western corner of said section; thence towards
the West and North-west by the western boun-
daries of Sections numbered 219, 218, and 217,
in the said town; thence towards the West by
a right line to the north-western corner of Sec-
tion numbered 205, in the said town; thence by
a right line to a public street fronting Sections
numbered 91, 92, 93, 94, 95, and 96, in the said
town; thence towards the South-west by the
southern side of that street to Section numbered
98, Havelock Suburban; thence towards the
North-west and West by Sections numbered 98
and 99, Havelock Suburban; thence towards
the South-west by the dividing line between
Section numbered 99, Havelock Suburban, and
Section numbered 100, Town of Havelock, and
by that line continued across Neil Street to Sec-
tion numbered 118, Havelock Suburban; thence
towards the North by a right line to the south-
west corner of Section numbered 133, Town of
Havelock; thence towards the South-west and
South by Sections numbered 118 and 119, Have-
lock Suburban, to the south-west corner of Section
