Altering Boundaries of Resident Magistrates' Districts of Papakura and Waikato.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by “The Resident Magistrates Act, 1867,” it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Governor from time to time, by Proclamation in the New Zealand Gazette, to constitute throughout the colony, or in any part thereof, districts to be called Resident Magistrates’ Districts, and such districts from time to time to abolish, and the boundaries to define and alter, and in any such Proclamation to fix a time on and from which any such district shall be constituted or abolished, as the case may be: And whereas by a Proclamation bearing date the thirty-first day of August, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-four, His Excellency the Governor, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities so vested in him, did proclaim and constitute the Districts of Papakura and Waikato, as described in the Schedule to the said Proclamation, to be, on and from the first day of October, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-four, Resident Magistrates’ Districts within the meaning and for the purposes of the said Act:
And whereas by a Proclamation bearing date the thirteenth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-six, the boundaries of the said districts were altered:
And whereas it is expedient to further alter the boundaries of the said Districts of Papakura and Waikato so constituted as aforesaid:
Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine, Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities so vested in me as aforesaid, do hereby alter the boundaries of the said Districts of Papakura and Waikato, as described in the Schedule hereto, as and from the sixteenth day of October next.
SCHEDULE.
PAPAKURA DISTRICT.
Bounded towards the North by the Onehunga District, as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1867, page 491, and by the Tamaki Strait to Orieri Point; thence towards the East by a line to the Wairoa Range, and along that range and by a line in a south-easterly direction to the utmost northerly source of the Whangamarino River; thence towards the South by that river to its confluence with the Waikato River; thence along the western bank of the Waikato River to the mouth of the Whangape Stream; thence by that stream and the northern shore of the Whangape Lake to the mouth of the Awaroa Stream; thence by a line running due west to the eastern boundary of the Waiuku District; thence towards the West by the said Waiuku District, as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1867, page 492; and then by the Manukau Harbour to the commencing point.
WAIKATO DISTRICT.
Bounded towards the North by the southern boundary of the Papakura District, hereinbefore defined; towards the East by part of the Hauraki District, as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1874, page 580, to its south-western angle; thence again on the North by the southern boundary of that district to the summit of Te Aroha Mountain; thence by the south-western boundary of the Tauranga District, as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1867, page 492, to the summit of the Otane Wainuku Mountain; thence by a line to the summit of Maungakawa Mountain, and by the southern and western boundaries of the Military Settlements Block to north-western angle of that block; thence by a line to the south-eastern angle of the Waiuku District, as described in the New Zealand Gazette, 1867, page 492; and thence by the eastern boundary of that district to the south-western angle of the Papakura District, the commencing point.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Most Honorable George Augustus Constantine, Marquis of Normanby, Earl of Mulgrave, Viscount Normanby, and Baron Mulgrave of Mulgrave, all in the County of York, in the Peerage of the United Kingdom; and Baron Mulgrave of New Ross, in the County of Wexford, in the Peerage of Ireland; a Member of Her Majesty’s Most Honorable Privy Council; Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this thirteenth day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy-six.

Revoking portions of previous Proclamation and defining Limits, Description, Line, and Limits of Deviation of other portions of the Railway from Auckland to Mercer, in the Province of Auckland.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN accordance with the provisions of the sixteenth section of “The Immigration and Public Works Act, 1874,” I, the Most Honorable George Augustus Constantine, Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred on me by the hereinbefore mentioned Act, and in exercise of every other power enabling me in this behalf, do hereby revoke those parts of the Proclamation of the Auckland and Mercer Railway, dated the eighth day of August, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-two, and published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 40, of August 12, 1872, which refer to the portions of the said railway, more particularly described in the First Schedule hereto: And I also do hereby proclaim, declare and define the limits, descriptions, and lines of the said portions of the said railway to be those set forth in the Second Schedule hereto; and that the lands specified and described in the Third Schedule hereto are proposed to be taken for the purposes of the said portions of the said railway; and that the limits of deviation shall be those set forth in the said Second Schedule hereto.
