Tenderers must state the rate per annum for the
services tendered for.
Contractors, whose tenders are accepted, must be
prepared to carry out the services for which they
tender, according to the time tables arranged by
the department, and which may be seen at the Post
Offices from which the services start.
The services marked thus (*) may be terminated
by the Postmaster-General, on giving one month's
notice in writing.
Forms of tenders, with the terms and conditions
of contract, may be procured at any Post Office.
No tenders will be considered unless made on the
printed form.
Tenders to be indorsed "Tender for Mail Service
No. ", and addressed to the Postmaster-General,
Wellington, and enclosed to the Chief or Head
Postmaster of the district to which the tender may
specially refer.

Land reserved for Recreation and Town Purposes.
WHEREAS by the Regulations for the Sale and
Disposal of Lands taken under the authority of
"The New Zealand Settlements Act, 1863," and "The
New Zealand Settlements Amendment and Continu-
ance Act, 1865," contained in the Schedule to an
Order in Council made and issued, bearing date the
eleventh day of May, one thousand eight hundred
and seventy-one, it is provided that reserves for
roads, and all other public purposes whatever, and
for education, and the sites for churches and chapels
or other places of worship for different religious
denominations, may be made by Government out of
any confiscated lands, and that notices of all such
reserves shall be published in the New Zealand
Gazette: It is hereby notified, that the lands specified
in the Schedule hereunder written shall be reserved
for the purposes therein mentioned and set opposite
the descriptions of the said parcels of land respec-
tively.

tion.
PURSUANT to the Regulations for the Sale, Dis-
posal, and Occupation of Lands taken under the
provisions of "The New Zealand Settlements Act,
1863," and "The New Zealand Settlements Amend-
ment and Continuance Act, 1865," and which said
Regulations are contained in the Schedule to an
Order in Council made and issued on the eleventh
day of May, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-
one, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the
first of June in the same year, it is hereby notified
that the parcels of land specified in the Schedule
hereto, and which lands were, on the third day of
August, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-one,
reserved for the purpose therein mentioned, will, on
the expiration of three calendar months from the
publication of this notice, be withdrawn from such
reservation.
