THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

I, DAVID LEWIS, a Commissioner duly appointed by virtue of the Ordinance No. 15, Session XI., of
the Legislative Council of the Islands of New Zealand, to hear and decide Claims to Land by persons
claiming title thereto from, through, or under the New Zealand Company, report that the Claims of the
under-mentioned persons having been duly referred to me for investigation, I do hereby decide that the
said persons are respectively entitled to Crown grants of the land set against their names in the annexed
Schedule.

1594 1738 The Directors of the Halifax Entitled to take the delivery of the following Crown grants, to be issued in
Joint Stock Banking Company the name of Thomas Parkinson, namely: -For the Sections No. 928,
792, and 862, in the City of Wellington, and for the Rural Sections No.
12, Pahautanui District; 112, Manawatu District; and 133, Upper Hutt
District. The selection at Manawatu is subject to the provisions of
clause 6 "Land Orders and Scrip Act, 1858." The legal estate to be
antevested in the Grantees as from the 27th November, 1858.
1595 1739 Anne Elizabeth Burgess ... Entitled to receive a Crown grant for part of Rural Section No. 11, Hutt
District, being Lots 2 and 3 of the subdivision of the section. The grant
to issue in the name of William Fitzherbert. The legal estate being
antevested therein as from the 8th day of April, 1842. Subject to a direc-
tion of the Commissioner.
1596 1742 Harriot Riddiford ... ... Entitled to take the delivery of a Crown grant for a portion of Section No.
24, Hutt District; the grant to be issued in the name of Daniel Riddiford.
The legal estate to be antevested in the Grantee as from the 24th March,
1858.

LAND TRANSFER ACT NOTICES.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the several parcels
of land hereinafter described will be brought
under the provisions of "The Land Transfer Act,
1870," unless caveat in each case be lodged forbid-
ding the same before the ninth day of October next.

MANUS O'KEEFFE. -Allotment 198 of Section
2, Town of Opotiki, containing 1 acre. In occuΡ€Π°-
tion of Somerlie Cameron. 907.

SYDNEY READE QUARTLEY and WILLIAM
LANG TAYLOR. -Allotment 99, Parish of Waio-
eka, County of Opotiki, containing 50 acres. In
occupation of Applicants. 933.

JOHN BREBNER. -North-eastern portion of
Allotment 22, Parish of Ahuroa, County of Marsden,
containing 46 acres. Unoccupied. 945.
