Application for Registration of Trade Mark.

NOTICE is hereby given, that FRANK WESTON,
of Sydney, in the Colony of New South Wales,
has applied to register the following Trade Mark :-

Description of Trade Mark.

A paper label or wrapper four inches and a half
long by four inches broad. About the centre, enclosed
by thin black lines, is a pink ground about two inches
and a quarter long and about two inches and seven-
eighths of an inch broad. In the pink ground small
spaces of a white colour appear, which form circles
or portions of circles. In the centre and at the
upper part of this pink ground, printed in black
capital letters the eighth of an inch in height (similar
type to that known as "two-line nonpareil orna-
mental") is the word "Weston's." Immediately
underneath, forming a sort of crescent, printed in
small black capital letters, with a light border edged
with thin black lines, and of the same height as the
word "Weston's," are the words "Magic Pills"; and
underneath these, in the centre, and printed in small
black capital letters, is the word "For." Immedi-
ately underneath, within a circle about three-fourths
of an inch in diameter, encircled by a small white
space, edged with a black line, and on a dark
ground composed of thin dark lines forming a sort of
trellis-work, is an engraving purporting to be a
representation of the head, face, and shoulders of
Frank Weston, the proprietor. On the left-hand
side of this circle are the words (printed in type
similar to that known as "small pica") "Jaundice,
Dyspepsia, Female Complaints, Headaches." The
words "Jaundice, Dyspepsia" forming the first line,
the words "Female Complaints" the second, and the
word "Headaches" the third. Immediately above
and below these words is a fanciful flourish or device.
On the right-hand side of this circle, above and
below them being fanciful flourishes or devices, and
printed in small type similar to that known as "small
pica," are the words "Costiveness & Impurities of
the Blood"; the word "Costiveness" forming one
line, the words " & Impurities of the" forming the
second line, and the word "Blood" the third line.

Immediately underneath the circle above mentioned
is a slight ornamental flourish or device, and the
words "Liver Complaints, &c." printed in small
capitals. Underneath these words, in type somewhat
similar to that known as "pica aldine italic," are the
words "None Genuine without the Signature," and
immediately below is the signature "Frank Weston,"
purporting to be a fac-simile of the signature of
Frank Weston, the proprietor; and underneath,
printed in small black capitals (in type somewhat
similar to that known as "brevier sanserif italic"),
are the words "Melbourne & Sydney."

Nature of Article to which it is proposed such Trade
Mark shall apply.
