Proclamation by His Honor the Superintendent
of Otago.

General Crown Lands Office,
Wellington, 14th June, 1876.

IT is hereby notified, that a Proclamation under the
hand of His Honor the Superintendent of Otago,
bearing date the 26th day of May, 1876, setting apart
a block of land in the "Otakaramu" Hundred, as
specified in the Schedule hereto, for occupation on
the deferred-payment system, has been approved by
the Governor in Council, as provided by the 27th
section of "The Abolition of Provinces Act, 1875."

SCHEDULE.
ALL those Sections numbered respectively 1, 2, 3, 6,
11, and 15, Block IV.; 2, 3, 15, 16, and 23, Block V.;
9 and 10, Block XIII., Waikaka District.

Site for the Patea Library and Institute.

WHEREAS by the Regulations for the Sale and
Disposal of Lands taken under the authority of
"The New Zealand Settlements Act, 1863," and "The
New Zealand Settlements Amendment and Continu-
ance Act, 1865," contained in the Schedule to an
Order in Council made and issued, bearing date the
eleventh day of May, one thousand eight hundred
and seventy-one, it is provided that reserves for
roads, and all other public purposes whatever, and
for education, and the sites for churches and chapels
or other places of worship for different religious
denominations, may be made by Government out of
any confiscated lands, and that notices of all such
reserves shall be published in the New Zealand
Gazette: It is hereby notified, that the land specified
in the Schedule hereunder written shall be reserved
for the purpose therein mentioned and set opposite
the description of the said parcel of land.

Town of Carlyle.
All that parcel of land containing by ad-
measurement one (1) rood, more or less,
being Section No. 18, Block XL., in the said
town. Bounded towards the North-east by
Sections 1 and 2 of the said Block XL., 200
links; towards the South-east by Section 17
of the said block, 125 links; towards the
South-west by Sections 19 and 20 of the said
block, 200 links; and towards the North-
west by Oxford Street, 125 links.
