I, Henry John Cope, do solemnly and sincerely
declare that—
- I am the Manager of the said intended Company.
- The above statement is, to the best of my belief
and knowledge, true in every particular; and I make
this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the
same to be true, and by virtue of an Act of the
General Assembly of New Zealand intituled "The
Justices of the Peace Act, 1866."

WELLINGTON CITY TRAMWAYS.
NOTICE is hereby given, that at the expiration of
thirty days from the publication hereof, appli-
cation is intended to be made to his Honor the Super-
intendent of the Province of Wellington for an
order empowering John Henderson, of the City of
Wellington, Civil Engineer; Charles O'Neill, of the
City of Wellington, Civil Engineer; and Thomas
Kennedy Macdonald, of the City of Wellington,
Accountant, to make and use a Tramway within the
City of Wellington, leading from the present Station
at Pipitea Point, in the City of Wellington, of the
Wellington and Masterton Railway, and from thence
along Thorndon and Lambton Quays to Willis
Street, and along Willis Street to Manners Street,
and along Manners Street to Cuba Street, and along
Cuba Street to Ingestre Street, and along Ingestre
Street to Vivian Street, and along Vivian Street to
Cambridge Terrace Roadway, and along Cambridge
Terrace Roadway to Sussex Square, and from thence
along the north-eastern and southern sides of Sussex
Square to the Adelaide Road, and along the Adelaide
Road to a point at or near Drummond Street, and
also along Grey Street from Lambton Quay to the
east side of Custom House Quay, with power to
make convenient sidings, passing-places, and cross-
ings for the purposes of such Tramway. And notice
is hereby further given, that the said Tramway is
intended to be used both for goods and passenger
traffic; and that a copy of this advertisement and a
plan of the proposed works, and all other documents
required to be deposited under the provisions of
"The Tramways Act, 1872," will, on or before the
first day of April next, be deposited for public
inspection in the office, in the City of Wellington,
of the Registrar of the Supreme Court, and in the
office, in the said City of Wellington, of the Corpo-
ration of the said City of Wellington, and also in
the office, in the said City of Wellington, of the
Superintendent of the Province of Wellington; and
that printed copies of the draft order, when de-
posited, pursuant to subsection 3 of the Third
Schedule to "The Tramways Act, 1872," and of the
order, when made, will be deposited at the office of
the said Thomas Kennedy Macdonald, at Temple
Chambers, Featherston Street, in the said City of
Wellington.

GUARDIAN PRINTING COMPANY (LIMITED).
NOTICE is hereby given, that an Extraordinary
Meeting of Shareholders in the Guardian
Printing Company (Limited) will be held in the
Lower Hall of the Athenæum, Dunedin, on Monday,
the 10th day of April, 1876, when the following
Motion will be submitted to the Meeting:—“That
the following Resolutions, passed at an Extraordinary
Meeting of the Company held on the 9th March,
1876, be confirmed: ‘That the Guardian Printing
Company (Limited) be wound up voluntarily, in
accordance with the provisions of "The Joint Stock
Companies Act, 1860," and that Liquidators be
appointed for the purpose of winding up the affairs
of the Company, and distributing the property.
2nd. That, in order to facilitate the winding up
of the affairs of the said Company, the Directors are
hereby authorized to complete the sale of the Plant
and Goodwill of the Otago Guardian and the Southern
Mercury Newspapers, and all other the effects of the
Company, as offered for sale at public auction on the
26th February last, subject to the conditions of
sale.’ ”
