Wednesday, the 1st December next, a First Order
Revolving Bright Light, flashing every half minute,
will be exhibited from Sugar Loaf Point, in the
vicinity of the Seal Rocks.
This light will be elevated 258 feet above high
watermark, and it will be visible from a ship's deck
in clear weather at a distance of 22 miles.
In addition to and below the revolving light, a
Fixed Green Light of the Fourth Order will be shown
from the same tower, for the purpose of warning
ships from the Seal Rocks and adjacent dangers.
Further particulars will be published hereafter.

NEW LIGHT, CAPE CAPRICORN.
ON and after this date, a Third Order Dioptric Re-
volving Light will be exhibited from Cape Capricorn,
at on elevation of 310 feet. The interval between
the periods of greatest brilliancy will be one minute.

Notice of the intention of the Governor to make a
portion of the Mahurangi and Port Albert Road
from Warkworth to Lot 160, Parish of Oruawharo,
Province of Auckland.
NOTICE is hereby given, that the Governor of
New Zealand having, under the powers in him
vested by "The Immigration and Public Works Act,
1870," and the Acts amending the same, and of all
other powers enabling him in that behalf, deemed it
expedient to open and make a portion of the line of
road from Mahurangi, to Port Albert, extending
from Warkworth to Lot 160, Parish of Oruawharo,
Province of Auckland, which road is, in the opinion
of the Governor and the Executive Council of the
colony, not a road to be constructed by the Superin-
tendent and the Provincial Council of the Province
of Auckland, and the course and bearings of which
said portion of road, the admeasurements required
for the same, and the lands through which the same
passes, together with the names of the owners and
occupiers thereof, so far as known, are respectively
shown and delineated on a certain map or survey
plan marked A. 526, and which said portion of road
is also described in a certain Proclamation made
under the said Act, and published in the New Zealand
Gazette, No 51, dated 16th September, 1875.
The said map or survey plan, marked A. 526, is
deposited and may be seen and inspected at the office
of the Public Works Department at Auckland.
And notice is hereby further given, that all or any
person or persons affected by the making of the said
portion of the road from Mahurangi to Port Albert,
are required to set forth in writing, addressed to the
Governor, and left at the office of the said Public
Works Department at Auckland aforesaid, within
forty days from the first publication hereof, any
well-grounded objection he or they may have to
the said portion of the said line of road.
