1870," unless caveat be lodged forbidding the same
in each case within one calendar month from date
of gazetting this notice.

PATENT for "The Improved Patent Earth
Closet."
This is to notify, that EDWARD HENRY WHITMORE
and WILLIAM CHARLES WOOLLIAM, both of Caver-
sham, Otago, Builders, did, on the tenth day of Sep-
tember instant, deposit at the office of the Patent
Officer, in the Colonial Secretary's Office, in Welling-
ton, a specification or instrument in writing under
their hands and seals, particularly describing and
ascertaining the nature of the said Invention, and in
what manner the same is to be performed; and that
by reason of such deposit the said Invention is pro-
tected and secured to them exclusively for the term
of six calendar months thence next ensuing.
And I do further notify, that the said Edward
Henry Whitmore and William Charles Woolliam
have given notice in writing at my office of their in-
tention to proceed with their application for Letters
Patent for the said Invention, and that I have
appointed Friday, the eighteenth day of February
next, at eleven o'clock in the forenoon, at my office,
to hear and consider the said application and all
objections thereto; and I do hereby require all per-
sons having an interest in opposing the grant of such
Letters Patent to leave, on or before the fourteenth
day of February next, at my office, in Wellington,
particulars in writing of their objections to the said
application, otherwise they will be precluded from
urging the same.
Given under my hand this tenth day of September,
1875.

vince of Westland, do hereby notify that I have this
day Registered a Memorandum of Association (with
Articles annexed), establishing a Company, with limi-
ted liability of the shareholders therein, entitled
"The Old Lead Sluicing Company, Hauhau, Limited."
The objects for which the Company is established
are expressed to be, "For carrying on Gold-mining
Operations at the Hauhau, near Hokitika aforesaid."
And I further notify that, in pursuance of "The
Joint Stock Companies Act, 1860," and of "The
Stamp Act Amendment Act, 1871," relating to the
incorporation of Companies, a Certificate of Incor-
poration of the said Company has been duly issued
by me, bearing even date herewith.
