THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.
The deaths from Zymotic Diseases were 11 less in number than in July. Deaths from Typhoid fell from 10 in July
to 5 in August.
The deaths from Local Diseases show an increase of 9 on the number in July. Of these the deaths from diseases of the
Nervous System show an increase of 5; and the deaths from diseases of the Respiratory Organs an increase of 12 (this last
increase being attributable to the increase in the deaths from Pneumonia and Congestion of the Lungs); while the deaths from
diseases of the Organs of Circulation were 2 in August to 7 in July. Developmental Diseases were 17 in August to 25
in July.
