said point being distant about
8000 links, more or less, from
the point at which the northern
portion of the said main road
leaves the beach; bounded
towards the North by Crown
land; towards the West by
the above-described Lighthouse
Reserve; towards the South by
Crown land; towards the East
by the aforesaid main road
between Westport and Charles-
ton, extending for a distance of
one chain on either side of the
centre line of the aforesaid
branch road, and containing
about eleven acres, more or

Limits of Port of All-Day Bay, Otago, defined.

NORMANDY, Governor.

IN pursuance of the power and authority in me
vested by the 7th section of "The Marine Act,
1867," I, George Augustus Constantine, Marquis of
Normanby, the Governor of New Zealand, do hereby,
for the purposes of the said Act, define the limits of
the Port of All-Day Bay, in the Province of Otago,
to be all the navigable waters included within a
radius of three nautical miles from the Signal Flag-
staff thereat.

Limits of Ports in Stewart's Island defined.

NORMANBY, Governor.

IN pursuance of the power and authority in me
vested by the 7th section of "The Marine Act,
1867," I, George Augustus Constantine, Marquis of
Normanby, the Governor of New Zealand, do hereby,
for the purposes of the said Act, define the limits of
the Ports of Half-Moon Bay, Paterson's Inlet, Port
Adventure, and Port William, all in Stewart's Island,
in the Province of Otago, to be respectively as
follow:-

Port of Half-Moon Bay.
All navigable waters within Half-Moon Bay, and
a radius seaward of one-half of the distance be-
tween Aker's Point and the northern point of the
bay, taken from a point midway between the ex-
tremity of the said points.

Port of Paterson's Inlet.
All navigable waters within Paterson's Inlet, and a
radius seaward of one-half the distance between the
northern portion of Anglem Point and Aker's Point,
taken from a point midway between the extremities
of the said points.

Port of Port Adventure.
All navigable waters within Port Adventure, and a
radius of three nautical miles seaward from the centre
of Entrance Island.

Port of Port William.
All navigable waters within Port William, and a
radius of one nautical mile and three-quarters
seaward, taken from a point midway between the
extremities of East Head and West Head.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the
Most Honorable George Augustus Con-
stantine, Marquis of Normanby, Earl
of Mulgrave, Viscount Normanby, and
Baron Mulgrave of Mulgrave, all in the
County of York, in the Peerage of the
United Kingdom; and Baron Mulgrave
of New Ross, in the County of Wexford,
in the Peerage of Ireland; a Member of
Her Majesty's Most Honorable Privy
Council; Knight Commander of the
Most Distinguished Order of Saint
Michael and Saint George; Governor and
Commander-in-Chief in and over Her
Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its
Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the
same; at the Government House, at
Wellington, this first day of September,
one thousand eight hundred and seventy-
five.

    days, an Examination of Candidates will be held in
    London. At this Examination not fewer than
    Candidates will be selected, if so many shall be found
