Tairua Special Licensing District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by "The Licensing Act 1873 Amend-
ment Act, 1874," it is, amongst other things,
provided that, in order to make provision for the
granting of licenses on gold fields and in outlying
districts, it shall be lawful for the Governor, from
time to time, to proclaim any district in any province
of the colony, the boundaries whereof shall be defined
in such Proclamation, to be a special licensing dis-
trict, and the boundaries of such district from time
to time to alter, and to abolish any such district:

Now therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, Governor of the Colony of
New Zealand, in virtue of the powers conferred upon
me by the said recited Act, do hereby proclaim and
declare that, from and after the date hereof, the dis-
trict the boundaries whereof are set forth in the
Schedule hereto, shall be a special licensing district,
to be called "The Tairua Special Licensing District."

SCHEDULE.

COMMENCING at Te Papiri on the East Coast, the
north-eastern boundary of the Ohinemuri Special
Licensing District, as defined in a Proclamation dated
the twenty-fifth day of March, one thousand eight hun-
dred and seventy-five, thence along the East Coast to
the south side of Mercury Bay, thence by the south side
of Mercury Bay to the Waiwara River, thence to the
dividing range to the source of the Waikeauranga
River, thence along the Waikeauranga south bank to
the intersecting line of the Hauraki Gold Field,
thence along the gold fields boundary to the Hikutaia
River, thence by the south bank of the Hikutaia
River to the Thames River, thence by the Thames
River to Te Iranga-o-pirore, thence by the northern
boundary of the said Ohinemuri Special Licensing
District to Te Papiri, the point of commencement.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the
Most Honorable George Augustus Con-
stantine, Marquis of Normanby, Earl of
Mulgrave, Viscount Normanby, and Baron
Mulgrave of Mulgrave, all in the County
of York, in the Peerage of the United
Kingdom; and Baron Mulgrave of New
Ross, in the County of Wexford, in the
Peerage of Ireland; a Member of Her
Majesty's Most Honorable Privy Coun-
cil; Knight Commander of the Most
Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George; Governor and Commander-
in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony
of New Zealand and its Dependencies,
and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued
under the Seal of the said Colony, at
Wellington, this fourth day of August, in
the year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and seventy-five.

Regulations under the New Zealand Settlements Acts
for Sale of Land to R. T. Blake.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this
third day of August, 1875.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by "The New Zealand Settlements
Amendment and Continuance Act, 1865," it
is enacted that the order and manner in which land
taken under the authority of "The New Zealand
Settlements Act, 1863," and "The New Zealand
Settlements Amendment and Continuance Act, 1865,"
should be laid out for sale and sold, should be at
the discretion of the Governer, who shall have
power to cause such land, or any part thereof, to be
laid out for sale and sold from time to time in such
manner, for such consideration, and in such allotments
as he shall think fit, and subject to such regulations
as he shall, with the advice of the Executive Council,
from time to time prescribe:

And whereas by "The New Zealand Settlements
Amendment Act, 1866," it is provided that the
said lands shall be sold for such consideration, or
at such price, and whether for cash or otherwise,
