expiration of ten years from the date of the Crown
grant: And whereas it is expedient that a fit and
proper person should be authorized to take and lay
down the road described in the Schedule hereto on
the lands specified in the Crown grant mentioned in
the said Schedule:

Now therefore, I, the Marquis of Normanby, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise
and pursuance of all powers and authorities enabling
me in this behalf, do hereby authorize Edward
Walter Puckey, officer of the Native Department,
Thames, Auckland, to take and lay down the road
specified in the Schedule hereto on the lands specified
in the Crown grant mentioned in the Schedule, and
for that purpose to exercise all such powers as by the
said Act may be exercised by a person legally
authorized in that behalf under the said Act.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the
Most Honorable George Augustus Con-
stantine, Marquis of Normanby, Earl
of Mulgrave, Viscount Normanby, and
Baron Mulgrave of Mulgrave, all in
the County of York, in the Peerage of
the United Kingdom; and Baron Mulgrave
of New Ross, in the County of Wexford,
in the Peerage of Ireland; a Member of
Her Majesty's Most Honorable Privy
Council, Knight Commander of the
Most Distinguished Order of Saint
Michael and Saint George, Governor
and Commander-in-Chief in and over
Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand
and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral
of the same; at the Government House
at Wellington, this sixth day of July, in
the year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and seventy-five.

tendent of the Province of Wellington.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the parcel of
waste lands of the Crown particularly specified
and described in the Schedule hereunder written is
required for the purposes mentioned and set opposite
to the description of the said parcel of land in
the said Schedule, and that the same has been
excepted from sale and reserved to Her Majesty by
the Order in Council bearing the date mentioned in
the second column of the said Schedule.
