Public Vaccinators appointed.

Wellington, 5th March, 1875.

IT is hereby notified, that, under the provisions of
"The Public Health Act, 1872," His Excellency
the Governor has been pleased to appoint the under-
mentioned gentlemen to be Public Vaccinators, to
perform gratuitous vaccination in accordance with
the provisions of the said Act, and any regulations
made or to be made thereunder, for the districts
mentioned in the Schedule hereto, and set opposite
their names.

IT is hereby notified for general information, that
the Post Office at Havelock, in the Province of
Marlborough, formerly an office for the exchange of
separate mails, is now constituted a Sub Post Office.

Approving and appointing Bonding Warehouses.

CUSTOMS. In exercise of the powers in me for
this purpose vested by "The Customs Regula-
tion Act, 1858," I, the Commissioner of Customs, do
hereby approve and appoint the under-mentioned
Warehouses, viz.,-

Port of Wellington.
The first story of a building built of wood and iron,
situate on Block 52A, in Panama Street, and known
as

LEVIN AND Co.'S BOND.

Port of Hokitika.
A building constructed of timber framing, covered
with galvanized iron, situate at the corner of Tancred
Street and Gibson Quay, and known as

KEON'S BOND,
-to be Warehouses for the reception of goods under
Bond.

Given under my hand, at Wellington, this
fourth day of March, one thousand eight
hundred and seventy-five.

NOTICE TO MARINERS.

No. 5 of 1875.

THE following Notice to Mariners, is published
for general information.

WILLIAM H. REYNOLDS.

NOTICE TO MARINERS.
Beacons, Torres Straits and Inner Route.

THE following additional Beacons are now erected
in the Inner Route and Prince of Wales Channel,
Torres Straits. Vessels bound eastward through the
Straits, and southwards in the Inner Route, will pass
those which are Red and Triangular on the Starboard
hand, and those that are Black and Square on the
Port hand.

Red and Triangular.
Sand Bank dry with rocks
E.S.E. 2 miles from Point
Lookout.
Ipili Reef.

Black and Square.
X Reef north-west side.
Z Reef west side.
N.W. Reef, Hammond Rock,
bearing S.W. Ince Point
E. by S. S.

A small Red Beacon is also placed upon a portion
of wreck lying N.N.E. 1/4 mile from the Ipili Reef.

The Beacon referred to in the Notice to Mariners
issued from this Office on the 2nd November, 1874,
as being placed on r. reef, off the Cole Islands, has
been since shifted to the detached reef lying 1/4 mile
further to the N.E.

Public Works Office,
Wellington, 10th March, 1875.

HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to
appoint
GEORGE CROLL
to be Inspector of Machinery for the District of
Nelson South.

EDWARD RICHARDSON.

Land withdrawn from Reservation.

PURSUANT to the Regulations for the sale, dis-
posal, and occupation of lands taken under the
provisions of "The New Zealand Settlements Act,
1863," and "The New Zealand Settlements Amend-
ment and Continuance Act, 1865," and which said
Regulations are contained in the Schedule to an
Order in Council made and issued on the 11th day
of May, 1871, and published in the New Zealand
Gazette of the 1st of June in the same year, it is
hereby notified that the parcel of land specified in
the Schedule hereto, and which land was reserved for
the purpose therein mentioned, will, on the expiration
