THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.
Sections 20 to 45 of the Public Health Act to be
in force in certain Districts, Province of Auckland.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this
sixteenth day of November, 1874.
Present :
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by the nineteenth section of "The"
Public Health Act, 1872," it is enacted that the
Governor in Council may make orders from time to
time directing that the provisions thereinafter in
Second Part of the said Act contained, or any of
them, be put in force in New Zealand, or in such
parts thereof or in such places therein as in such
orders respectively may be expressed, and may in
like manner revoke or renew any such order; and,
subject to revocation or renewal as aforesaid, every
such order shall be in force for six calendar months
from the publication of such order, or for such
shorter period as in such order shall be expressed,
and no longer; and every such order shall be pub-
lished in the General Government Gazette, and such
publication shall be conclusive evidence of such order
to all intents and purposes; and none of the said
provisions shall be in force in any part of New
Zealand until an order directing the same to be put
in force shall have been made and published as
aforesaid :
Now therefore, His Excellency the Governor, with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council,
and in exercise and pursuance of all power and
authority in this behalf in him vested, doth hereby
direct that the provisions contained in the sections
of the said Act numbered from twenty to forty-five,
both inclusive, shall be put in force in the districts
in the Province of Auckland mentioned in the
Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
THE City of Auckland, as defined in the First
Schedule to "The Municipal Corporations Act,
1867."
The Suburban Highway District of Newton, as
defined in the public notification thereof made by
the Deputy Superintendent of Auckland, dated the
30th day of June, 1874, and published in the Auck-
land Provincial Gazette, No. 17, dated the 16th July,
1874.
The Suburban Highway District of Dedwood, as
defined in the public notification thereof made by
the Deputy Superintendent of Auckland, dated the
18th day of August, 1868, and published in the
Auckland Provincial Gazette, No. 43, dated the 24th
August, 1868.
The Suburban Highway District of Karangahape,
as defined in the public notification thereof made by
the Superintendent of Auckland, dated the 4th
October, 1869, and published in the Auckland Pro-
vincial Gazette, No. 75, dated the 4th October, 1869.
The Suburban Highway District of Parnell, as
defined in the public notification thereof made by the
Superintendent of Auckland, dated the 12th April,
1871, and published in the Auckland Provincial
Gazette, No. 12, dated the 21st April, 1871.
The Suburban Highway District of Grafton Road,
as defined in the public notification thereof made by
the Deputy Superintendent of Auckland, dated the
13th July, 1872, and published in the Auckland Pro-
vincial Gazette, No. 25, dated the 16th July, 1872.
The Suburban Highway District of Newmarket, as
defined in the public notification thereof made by the
Deputy Superintendent of Auckland, dated the 13th
July, 1872, and published in the Auckland Provincial
Gazette, No. 25, dated the 16th July, 1872.
The Highway District of Waiotahi, Thames, as
defined in the public notification thereof made by the
Deputy Superintendent of Auckland, dated the 25th
April, 1874, and published in the Auckland Provincial
Gazette, No. 12, dated the 30th day of April, 1874.
The Highway District of Kauaeranga, Thames, as
defined in the public notification thereof made by the
Deputy Superintendent of Auckland, dated the 31st
August, 1872, and published in the Auckland Pro-
vincial Gazette, No. 33, dated the 6th September,
1872.

SCHEDULE.
THE REMUERA HIGHWAY DISTRICT.
Amended Boundaries.
THIS district shall comprise all those lands bounded
towards the North by high watermark of the sea
from the seaward termination of the western
boundary of Allotment No. 40A of the Parish of
Waitemata to the Slaughterhouse Creek, thence by
the middle of said creek to the north side of the
Grammar School Road, thence by the north side of
said road from the creek aforesaid to the east side of
the Epsom Road; on the West by the east side
of Epsom Road aforesaid to the north-western
angle of Allotment No. 21 of Section No. 4 of the
Suburbs of Auckland aforesaid, thence by the north-
eastern boundary of said Allotment No. 21 to
the Slaughterhouse Creek aforesaid, thence by the
said creek to the southern boundary of Allotment
No. 23 of section and suburbs last named, and by
said southern boundary to the eastern side of the
