And whereas it is doubtful whether the said
parcel of land has been heretofore formally reserved,
and it is now necessary that it should be dealt with
as a General Government reserve:

Now therefore, His Excellency the Governor, by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the colony, in exercise and pursuance of
the power and authority in that behalf vested in him,
doth hereby except from sale and reserve to Her
Majesty the parcel of the waste lands of the Crown
particularly specified and described in the Schedule
hereunder written, for the purpose in the said
Schedule mentioned, and set opposite the description
of the said parcel of land.

PROVINCE OF AUCKLAND.

All that parcel of land situated in the
Parish of Waitemata, County of Eden,
being allotment Number sixteen of
Section number forty-one of the City
of Auckland, containing three roods
and fourteen perches more or less;
bounded towards the North-east by
Drake Street, twenty-seven links and
seventy-nine links; towards the South-
east and South by Drake Street
aforesaid, eight hundred and forty-one
links and seventy-three links; and
towards the Northwest by high
watermark of the Auckland Harbour
four hundred and fifty-three links. | Site for a Block-house. |

TO JOHN WILLIAMSON, Esquire, Superintendent of
the Province of Auckland.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the parcel of
waste lands of the Crown particularly specified
and described in the Schedule hereunder written is
required for the purpose mentioned and set opposite
to the description of the said parcel of land in the
said Schedule; and that the same has been excepted
from sale and reserved to Her Majesty by the Order
in Council bearing the date mentioned in the second
column of the said Schedule.

Land reserved under "The Westland Waste Lands
Act, 1870."

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and
authority in me vested in this behalf by "The
Westland Waste Lands Act, 1870," I hereby reserve
the land in the Province of Westland, described in
the Schedule hereunto annexed, for the uses specified
therein.

SCHEDULE.

TOWN OF OKARITO SOUTH.

FIVE (5) acres, more or less, situate in the Town of
Okarito South; bounded on the South-westward by
Prince Street, five hundred (500) links; on the
north-westward by Alexander Street, one thousand
(1,000) links; on the North-eastward by a line at a
right angle with the last-mentioned boundary, five
hundred (500) links; and on the South-eastward by
East Road, one thousand (1,000) links: For the
uses of the Colonial Government and for railway
purposes.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the
Right Honorable Sir James Fergusson,
Baronet, a Member of Her Majesty's. Most
Honorable Privy Council, Governor and
Commander-in-Chief in and over Her
Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its
Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the
same, at Wellington, this thirteenth day
of August, in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and seventy-
four.

Land reserved for Site for a Town Hall.

WHEREAS by the regulations for the sale and
disposal of lands taken under the authority
of "The New Zealand Settlements Act, 1863," and
"The New Zealand Settlements Amendment and
Continuance Act, 1865," contained in the Schedule
to an Order in Council made and issued, bearing date
the 11th day of May, 1871, it is provided that reserves
for roads, and all other public purposes whatever,
and for education, and the sites for churches and
chapels or other places of worship for different
religious denominations, may be made by Govern-
ment out of any confiscated lands, and that notices
of all such reserves shall be published in the New
Zealand Gazette: It is hereby notified, that the
land specified in the Schedule hereunder written
shall be reserved for the purpose therein mentioned,
and set opposite the description of the said parcel of
land.

by admeasurement one (1) rood,

by a street, 114 links; towards the
East by Town Section No. 263, 220
links; towards the South by Town
Section No. 271, 114 links; and
towards the West by Town Section
