ORDER 1.—Accident or Negligence.—Accidental Asphyxia, 1; Suffocation by Carbonic Acid Gas, 1.
Of the cases of diphtheria, 3 occurred in Dunedin, 1 in Christchurch, and 1 at the Thames,
Two of the 4 cases of typhoid fever occurred at the Thames, 1 at Christchurch, and 1 at Auckland.
The deaths from dysentery and diarrhea only reach 8 this month.
The deaths from phthisis have slightly increased since April.
The death from accidental asphyxia was that of a child four weeks old, at Wellington.
