LAND TRANSFER ACT NOTICE.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the several parcels
of land hereinafter described will be brought
under the provisions of "The Land Transfer Act,
1870," unless caveat in the meantime be lodged
forbidding the same.
Allotments 11 and 12, on the plan of "Cannon's
Subdivision," in the Township known as McMaster's
Estate (subdivision of Section 1, BLOCK I., Invercar-
gill Hundred).—Applicant, GIDEON FREDERICK
DE JOUX, of Invercargill, Settler.
Caveat must be lodged within one calendar month
after the gazetting of this notice.
Diagrams may be inspected at this office.

I have examined the books and accounts of "The
Black Angel Gold Mining Company, Limited," in
connection with the balance, and, with the exception
of the sum of five pounds (£5) overpaid to the
Secretary, find them to be duly authorized and
correct. I am of opinion that it is a fair balance
sheet, containing the particulars required by the
Articles of Association of the Company.

I the undersigned, hereby make application to
register "The Hit-or-Miss Gold Mining Com-
pany" as a Limited Company, under the provisions
of "The Mining Companies Act, 1872."

1. The name of the Company is to be "The Hit-or-Miss
   Gold Mining Company, Limited."
2. The place of operations is Little Boatman's Creek,
   Inangahua District, Province of Nelson.
3. The registered office of the Company will be situated at
   Broadway, Reefton, Inangahua District, Province of Nelson.
4. The nominal capital of the Company is eighteen thousand
   pounds, in eighteen thousand shares of one pound each.
5. The number of shares subscribed for is eighteen thousand,
   being not less than two-thirds of the entire number of shares
   in the Company.
6. The number of paid-up shares is nil.
7. The amount already paid up is nine thousand pounds,
   representing the estimated value of the claim and the work
   done thereon.
8. The name of the Manager is Patrick Brennan.
9. The names and addresses and occupations of the share-
   holders, and the number of shares held by each at this date, are
