Road, and known as
SCLANDERS' BOND.

Port of Greymouth.
Part of a wood and iron building situate on the
north bank of the Lagoon in the Town of Greymouth,
and known as
KENNEDY BROTHERS' BOND.

Port of Lyttelton.
A two-storied stone building situate in Oxford
Terrace West, between Hereford and Cashel Streets,
and on part of Christchurch Town Section No. 860,
and known as
WALTER WARNER AND Co.'s BOND.

Given under my hand, at Wellington, this
eighth day of June, one thousand eight

Commissioner's Order No. 68.]

Approving and appointing Bonded Warehouses.

CUSTOMS.-In pursuance of the powers in me for
this purpose vested by "The Customs Regula-
tion Act, 1858," I, the Commissioner of Customs, do
hereby approve and appoint the under-mentioned
Warehouses, viz.,-

Port of New Plymouth.
The cellar below and portion of wooden building
in rear of the business premises of Mr. F. U. Gled-
hill, situate in Brougham Street, and known as
GLEDHILL'S BOND.

The ground floor of the wooden building known as
the Foresters' Hall, situated in Brougham Street, and
known as
HUMPHRIES' BOND.

Port of Wellington.
Part of the basement of a building of wood and
iron situate at the corner of Grey and Featherston
Streets, in the occupation of Messrs. Joseph Nathan
and Co., and known as
NATHAN'S BOND.

Port of Napier.
A concrete building with iron roof situate on por-
tions of Sections 519 and 520, Spit, Napier, having an
entrance opening into Waghorn Street, and known as
KINROSS AND CO.'S BOND.

Port of Dunedin.
The cellar under the stone building situate at the
corner of Rattray and Castle Streets, Dunedin, to be
known as
THE OTAGO BOND.

The stone cellar under the Dunedin University,
occupied by Messrs. Lange and Thoneman, and having
an entrance from Bond Street, to be known as
THE UNIVERSITY BOND,
-to be Warehouses for the reception of Goods under
Bond.

Given under my hand, at Wellington, this
eighth day of June, one thousand eight
hundred and seventy-four.

Commissioner's Order No. 69.]

Examination Sheds appointed.

CUSTOMS.-In exercise of the powers in me for
this purpose vested by "The Customs Regula-
tion Act Amendment Act, 1868," I, the Commissioner
of Customs, do hereby approve and appoint the
under-mentioned Warehouses at the
Port of Nelson,
Viz.,-A wood and iron building occupied by J.
Symons, of the firm of Messrs. N. Edwards
and Co., situate on the Albion Wharf; and
A wood and iron building, occupied by J. S.
Cross, situate on the Commercial Wharf,
to be Warehouses where goods may be deposited for
examination on the landing thereof.

Given under my hand, at Wellington, this
eighth day of June, one thousand eight
hundred and seventy-four.

NOTICES TO MARINERS.

THE following Notices to Mariners, received from
Australia, and Queensland, are published for general
information.

THE following Notice to Mariners, containing direc-
tions for the navigation of the South Channel, conse-
quent upon the completion of the Lighthouses, from
which lights will be exhibited on and after the 1st
proximo, is published for general information.

SOUTH CHANNEL LIGHTS.

REFERRING to the Notice to Mariners on the subject
published on the 6th January, 1873, notice is hereby
given, that these lights will be exhibited on and after
the 1st of June, 1874.

The "Eastern Light" (immediately under Arthur's
Seat) is a fixed 4th-class dioptric light, 80 feet above
high water level, and is visible in clear weather about
fourteen miles.

The "South Channel Pile Light" (placed at
eastern end of Channel, in the position formerly
occupied by No. 10 buoy) is also a fixed 4th-class
dioptric light, 27 feet above high water level, and is
visible in clear weather about ten miles.

The Eastern Light shows-

Red between S. by W. W. and S.E. E., and
White between S.E. E. and E by N. N.

The South Channel Pile Light shows-

Red from W. S. round northerly to N.E N.,
and
White between N.E. N. and S.S.E.; between
the bearings of S.S.E. to W. S. this light
is obscured.

Vessels entering the South Channel from seaward
should steer in with these two lights (White) in one
bearing E. S.; but in approaching within quarter of
a mile of the South Charmel Pile Light, in vessels of
heavy draught of water, care must be taken to bring
the Eastern Light under Arthur's Seat well to the
northward of the Pile Light, in order to avoid shoal
soundings of 20, 21, and 22 feet, recently obtained by
Captain Stanley whilst re-surveying this channel.

After passing the Pile Lighthouse steer about E.,
taking care to get sight of its light again (Red) before
