  1. There shall be paid to the Public Trustee by the
    policy-holder a fee of five shillings on the registration
    thereof.

  2. Each policy shall bear a registration number
    according to the order in which it has been received,
    and when registered the Public Trustee shall make
    and sign a memorandum thereon in the form or to
    the effect following:---

  1. All policies shall be numbered and registered
    in the order in which they are presented for registra-
    tion; and should any mistake be made in registration,
    the Public Trustee shall rectify the same by a new
    entry, in such form as may be convenient. The
    erroneous entry shall not be erased or obliterated.

Right Honorable Sir James Fergusson,
Baronet, a Member of Her Majesty's
Most Honorable Privy Council, Governor
and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her
Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its
Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the
same; and issued under the Seal of the
said Colony, at Auckland, this thirtieth
day of March, in the year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and seventy-
four.
