THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.
east bank of the Karetu to the bush; thence by a
right line to the Trigonometrical Station on the
summit of Mount Grey; thence by a right line
passing over the summit of Mount Brown to the
Waipara River.

  1. RANGIORA DISTRICT.
    Bounded on the North by the Sefton District; on
    the West by Oxford District; on the South by the
    centre of the Harewood Road from a point where it
    intersects the west boundary of the district to a
    point where it meets a road lying on the south-west
    boundary of Section No. 1728, the middle of that
    road to the corner of Section 1631, the middle of
    road lying on the boundaries of Sections 1631, 1539,
    and 1508, to the north-west corner of 1029; the
    west boundary of 1029 to a point where it meets
    Southbrook, and the middle of Southbrook to the
    west boundary of the Native reserves; on the East
    by the boundary of the Native reserve, the middle
    of road lying on the south-west boundary of Sections
    • 1655, 355, 3554, and 431, the west boundary of 432,
    to the Harewood Road, the middle of the road to
    the south corner of 544, and the middle of the
    road lying on the east boundary of 544 to the
    point where the said road meets the River Ashley.

  2. MANDEVILLE DISTRICT.
    Bounded on the North by the Sefton District and
    the Rangiora District; on the West by the Oxford
    District; on the South by the south bank of the
    Waimakariri River and a line drawn from trig. pole
    C. 19 on the south bank of that river to trig. pole C.
    27 on the sea coast; on the East by the sea coast:
    Exclusive of the Town of Kaiapoi District, herein
    next defined.

  3. TOWN OF KAIAPOI DISTRICT.
    Boundary commencing at the south-west corner
    of Rural Section No. 338E, on the North Road;
    thence South-westerly across the branch of the
    Waimakariri, and along the southern bank of the
    said branch to a point in line with the eastern
    boundary of Rural Section 365; thence in and along
    the line of the said eastern boundary of Rural
    Section 365, a distance of about 45 chains 80 links;
    thence Easterly at a right angle about 66 chains
    50 links along the southern side of a public street or
    road crossing Rural Sections 321, 468, and 297, to
    the northern bank of the main stream of the Wai-
    makariri, following the said northern bank of the
    said main stream, and the western bank of the branch
    stream, a distance altogether of about 64 chains;
    thence to the Northward, crossing the branch stream
    and meeting the line of the eastern side of Hall
    Street, continuing along the said eastern side of
    Hall Street till it meets the northern side of Cass
    Street, following along the northern side of Cass
    Street to a point on the southern boundary of Rural
    Section 338E about 13 chains from the south-western
    corner of the said section, and returning along the
    southern boundary line of the said section to the com-
    mencing point, and numbered and marked MD 14
    on the maps setting out and describing the Mande-
    ville District of the Province of Canterbury, in
    the Land Office, Christchurch, together with the
    remainder of Rural Section 320.

  4. AVON DISTRICT.
    Bounded on the North by the River Waimakariri
    from the sea to the western boundary of Section
    No. 5620; on the East by the sea; on the South by
    the north boundary of the City of Christchurch and
    the River Avon to the sea; on the West by the
    western boundaries of Sections Nos. 6, 52, 105, 133,
    142, 299, 135, 151, and the northern boundary of
    Section No. 151 to the north-western boundary of the
    Papanui Church Reserve, by the north-western
    boundary of that reserve, and by the eastern side
    of the Harewood Road, by Papanui to the western
    boundary of Section No. 203, by that boundary and
    by the western boundaries of Sections No. 203, 5, 3,
    25, 292, 291, 280, 279, 243, 331, 1471, and 5620.

  5. RICCARTON DISTRICT.
    Bounded on the North by the River Waimakariri;
    on the East by the Avon District and the west bound-
    ary of the City of Christchurch; on the South by
    the Lincoln Road to Archer's Bridge, and the Lincoln
    and Riccarton Junction Road to its junction with the
    Great South Road, the Great South Road to its
    junction with the Harewood Road by Riccarton, the
    Harewood Road by Riccarton to a point in a line
    with the Prebbleton and Kaiapoi Junction Road; on
    the West by the Prebbleton and Kaiapoi Junction
    Road to the Waimakariri at the north-east corner of
    Rural Section No. 2197.

  6. CITY OF CHRISTCHURCH—NORTH-WEST
    DISTRICT.
    Bounded towards the North by the road separating
    Sections 242 and 299 from Sections 453 and 135 from
    the junction of the road west of section 242 to the
    Papanui Road, following southerly the said road to
    the road running between Sections 136 and 243F,
    and by that road to the Caledonian Road at the
    eastern corner of the latter section; towards the East
    by the City of Christchurch North-East District;
    towards the South by the north bank of the River
    Avon; and towards the West by the road separating
    Sections 18 and 80 to the road first before men-
    tioned.

  7. CITY OF CHRISTCHURCH—SOUTH-WEST
    DISTRICT.
    Bounded towards the North by the north bank of
    the River Avon; towards the East by the City of
    Christchurch South-East District; towards the South
    by the Pound Road to the Lower Lincoln Road,
    following north-easterly the said road to the road
    separating sections 113 and 118; and towards the
    West by the said last-mentioned road to the Riccarton
    Road, and by a straight line drawn from the north-
    western corner of Section 155 to the road separating
    Sections 18 and 80 on the north bank of the River
    Avon.

  8. CITY OF CHRISTCHURCH—NORTH-EAST
    DISTRICT.
    Bounded towards the North by the road separating
    Sections 136 and 243r to the road east of Section
    2256; towards the East by the last-mentioned road
    to its junction with the East Christchurch Road, fol-
    lowing that road easterly to the Stanmore Road, and
    by the Stanmore Road to the north bank of the
    River Avon; towards the South by the north bank
    of the said River Avon; towards the West by
    Colombo Street to the North Town Belt; thence
    westerly, following the northern side of the same to
    the Caledonian Road, and by the Caledonian Road
    to the road first before-mentioned.

  9. CITY OF CHRISTCHURCH—SOUTH-EAST
    DISTRICT.
    Bounded towards the North by the north bank
    of the River Avon; towards the East by the Stan-
    Stanmore Road, crossing the River Avon to the road
    separating Sections 69 and 84, and by that road to
    the Ferry Road, following that road westerly to the
    Hills Road, and by the Hills Road to the road
    separating sections 62 and 74; towards the South by
    the last-mentioned road, and by a straight line drawn
