LAND TRANSFER ACT NOTICES.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the several parcels
of land hereinafter described will be brought
under the provisions of "The Land Transfer Act,
1870," unless caveat in the meantime be lodged
forbidding the same.

WILLIAM CHARLES NATION, of the City of
Christchurch, in the Province of Canterbury, Printer,
Applicant.-1 acre 8 perches, being part of Section
"408," on the plan of the City of Nelson, and part
of an acre adjoining thereto, granted to Benjamin
Jackson. Bounded-Northward (390 links) by
Sections 407 and 409 on the said plan; Southward,
partly (27 links) by Manuka Street, partly by other
part of said Section "408," partly by other part of
said section granted to Benjamin Jackson; East-
ward, partly by other part of said section granted to
Benjamin Jackson, partly by other part of said
Section "408;" Westward by Section 410 on said

GEORGE WALKER, of the District of Waimea
West, District Constable, Applicant.-9 acres 3
roods 20 perches, being part of Section "130" on
the plan of the said district. Bounded-North and

GEORGE MERRITT, of the City of Nelson,
Painter, Applicant.-10 perches, being part of
Section "420" on the plan of the City of Nelson,
having a frontage to Tasman Street of 35 feet;
commencing at a point measured 75 feet from the
north-east angle of the same section, and extending
back at right angles with the said front 82 feet.
Bounded-North, South, and West by other parts
of same section; West by Tasman Street.

FRANK PRIMMER, of Richmond, in the Dis-
trict of Waimea East, Labourer, Applicant.-145
acres, being Section "61" on Square "2" of the

Caveat in each case must be lodged within one
calendar month from the date of publication of this
notice in the Gazette.

Diagrams may be inspected at this office.

register "The Reliance Quartz Mining Com-
pany" as a Limited Company, under the provisions
of "The Mining Companies Act, 1872."

  1. The name of the Company is to be "The Reliance Quartz
    Mining Company, Limited."
  2. The place of operations is at Bendigo, in the Province of
    Otago.
  3. The registered office of the Company will be situate at
    Cromwell, in the said Province of Otago.
  4. The nominal capital of the Company is £4,000, in 4,000
    shares of £1 each.
  5. The number of shares subscribed for is 4,000.
  6. The number of paid-up shares is nil.
  7. The amount already paid up is £1,800.
  8. The name of the Manager is Duncan MacKellar.
  9. The names and addresses and occupations of the share-

    General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled "The
    Justices of the Peace Act, 1866."

CORPORATION OF INVERCARGILL.

Loan, £3,500, at Six per Cent.

THE Town Council having resolved under the
borrowing powers conferred on the Corporation
by "The Otago Municipal Corporations Ordinance,
1865," to contract a second Loan of £3,500, sealed
Tenders will be received, up to 3 p.m. of the 20th
November, 1873, for Seventy (70) Fifty Pounds (£50)
Debentures. To have a currency of twenty years
from the date of issue, and bear interest at the rate
of six per cent. per annum, payable half-yearly at
Dunedin or Invercargill. The highest or any tender
not necessarily accepted. Tenders to be indorsed
"Tenders for Debentures."

The interest and sinking funds on loans are a first
charge upon the rates. The Debentures will be
redeemable by a Sinking Fund, invested annually by
Trustees appointed by the Superintendent.

The money raised will be expended exclusively on
the drainage of the town and formation of streets.

The Rates for the statutory financial year ending
19th April, 1872, amounted to £1,046 9s., of which
£10 18s. 6d., remains unpaid.

For 1873, £1,230.
For 1874, £1,386.

The annual revenue amounts to about £4,000.
The financial position of the Corporation is shown
by the Balance Sheet, and Estimate of Revenue,
published in the Provincial Government Gazettes
of 15th January and 30th April, 1873, respectively.

THE VICTORIA QUARTZ MINING COMPANY,
REGISTERED.

NOTICE is hereby given, that WILLIAM MCLEAN
has been appointed Manager of the above-
named Company, in the place of Frank Mathias
resigned; and that the office of the Company has
been moved from the office of Frank Mathias to the
office of William McLean, situate in Broadway,
Reefton, in the Province of Nelson.
