CORPORATION OF INVERCARGILL.

NOLAN'S CANDLELIGHT No. 1 GOLD MINING
COMPANY, REGISTERED.

Loan, £3,500, at Six per Cent.

THE Town Council having resolved, under the
Borrowing powers conferred on the Corporation
by "The Otago Municipal Corporations Ordinance,
1865," to contract a second Loan of £3,500, sealed
Tenders will be received, up to 3 p.m. of the 20th
November, 1873, for Seventy (70) Fifty Pounds (£50)
Debentures. To have a currency of twenty years
from the date of issue, and bear interest at the rate
of six per cent. per annum, payable half-yearly at
Dunedin or Invercargill. The highest or any tender
not necessarily accepted. Tenders to be indorsed,
"Tenders for Debentures."

The interest and sinking funds on loans are a first
charge upon the rates. The Debentures will be
redeemable by a Sinking Fund, invested annually by
Trustees appointed by the Superintendent.

The money raised will be expended exclusively on
the drainage of the town, and formation of streets.

The Rates for the statutory financial year, ending
19th April, 1872, amounted to £1,046 9s., of which
£10 18s. 6d. remains unpaid.
For 1873, £1,230.
For 1874, £1,386.

The annual revenue amounts to about £4,000.
The financial position of the Corporation is shown
by the Balance Sheet, and Estimate of Revenue,
published in the Provincial Government Gazettes
of 15th January and 30th April, 1873, respectively.

I, the undersigned, hereby make application to
register "The Otago Antimony Mining Com-
pany, Limited," under the provisions of "The
Mining Companies Act, 1872."

  1. The name of the Company is to be "The Otago Antimony
    Mining Company, Limited."

  2. The place of operation is at Carrick Range.

  3. The registered office of the Company will be situated at
    Stafford Street, Dunedin.

  4. The nominal capital of the Company is £6,000, in 6,000
    shares of £1 each.

  5. The number of shares subscribed for is 6,000.

  6. The number of paid-up shares is 6,000.

  7. The amount already paid up is nominally £6,000.

  8. The name of the Manager is George Forrest Reid.

  9. The names, addresses, and occupations of the share-
    holders, and the number of shares held by each at this date, are
    as follow:-

THE ALBURNIA GOLD MINING COMPANY,
REGISTERED.

NOTICE is hereby given, that at an Extraordinary
Meeting of the Shareholders, held this day, an
increase in the Capital of the Company was resolved
on, as set forth in the following Resolutions, viz :-

  1. That the Capital of the Company be increased
    by the sum of four thousand pounds, by the
    issue of four thousand new shares, at twenty
    shillings each.
  2. That the new issue of shares be offered to the
    present Shareholders in the proportion of one
    new share for one old share held by them.
  3. That the sum of five shillings per share be paid
    on application.
  4. That all shares unallotted and not applied for
    on or before the fourteenth day of November
    next, be placed in the hand of the Directors
    for disposal as they may think fit.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the Copartnership
hitherto subsisting between the undersigned
Arthur Standish and Gervase Disney Hammerton,
under the firm of "Standish and Hammerton," was
this day dissolved, Mr. Arthur Standish having retired
from the business, which will henceforth be carried
on without alteration by Mr. Gervase D. Hammerton.
