Alterations in Hours of Office Attendance.

Colonial Secretary's Office,
Wellington, 28th October, 1873.

WITH reference to the notification in the New
Zealand Gazette No. 62, of 23rd October, of
alterations in the hours of office attendance, the
following further alteration is published for general
information.

WILLIAM H. REYNOLDS,
(in the absence of the Colonial Secretary.)

On and after the 1st day of November, 1873, the
official hours of attendance on Saturday shall be from
9.30 a.m., to 1 p.m., instead of as previously fixed,
viz., from 9.30 a.m. to 2 p.m., but without the half
hour allowed on other days for luncheon.

Letters of Naturalization granted.

HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to
issue Letters of Naturalization, under "The
Aliens Act, 1866," in favour of the under-mentioned
persons.

Italy at Melbourne having nominated

HENRY COLIN BALNEAVIS, Esq.,

to be Consular Agent for Italy at Auckland, His
Excellency the Governor has been pleased to accept
such nomination provisionally.

Change in Designation of Post Office.

General Post Office,
Wellington, 28th October, 1873.

IT is hereby notified for general information, that
the designation of the Post Office at Popotunoa,
in the Province of Otago, will be changed to

CLINTON,

on the 1st November next.

Member of Commission for inspecting Immigrant
Ships appointed.

Wellington, 29th October, 1873.

IT is hereby notified for general information,
that

THOMAS THOMSON, Esq.,

Harbour Master, has been appointed a Member of
the Commission to inspect and report upon the state
and condition of Immigrants and Emigrant Ships
upon their arrival at the Bluff, vice J. B. Greig, Esq.,
resigned.
