Land withdrawn from the Nelson South-West Gold Field.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by "The Gold Fields Act, 1866," it is provided that it shall be lawful for the Governor at any time subsequent to the proclamation of a gold field, to withdraw by Proclamation there-from any Crown lands which he may deem it necessary to withdraw, and that such lands shall henceforth be dealt with, sold, occupied, and disposed of under any law or laws for the time being in force regulating the sale, occupation, or disposal, or in any way affecting or relating to the management or dealing with the Crown lands within the Province in which such gold field is situate, in like manner in every respect as though such lands had never been comprised in any proclaimed gold field:
Now therefore, I, the Right Honorable Sir James Fergusson, Baronet, Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and in exercise of the power and authority for this purpose vested in me, do hereby withdraw from the Nelson South-West Gold Field, proclaimed on the eighth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight, so much of the parcel of land described in the Schedule hereto as is included within the said gold field.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece of land comprised within the following boundaries, namely, on the Northwards partly by the Municipal Reserve, Westport, and partly by the surveyed Sections 7A, 8, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 44, 43, 42, 41, 40, 39, 38, 37, 20, and 25, to the south-eastern corner of 28; thence by a line bearing 36Β° East of North for a distance of four thousand links to a point on the Buller River; and on the Southward and Westward by the Buller River to a point from which this description commenced at the south-west corner of 7A; comprising about four thousand acres, more or less, excepting all lands within these boundaries at present held or applied for under the Gold Fields Agricultural Leasing Acts.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honorable Sir James Fergusson, Baronet, a Member of Her Majesty's Most Honorable Privy Council, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at Wellington, this eighth day of September, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy-three.

Districts of Mangonui and Kaipara withdrawn from the operation of "The Outlying Districts Sale of Spirits Act, 1870."

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by "The Outlying Districts Sale of Spirits Act, 1870," it is enacted that the Governor in Council may, by Proclamation in that behalf, from time to time define districts and bring the same under the operation of the said Act, and may at any time, and from time to time thereafter, alter the boundaries of such districts, or withdraw any district, or any part of any district, from the operation of the said Act; and also that no part of any town or city shall be brought under the operation of the said Act, and also that no district shall be defined or brought under the operation of the said Act, unless at least two-thirds of the inhabitants of such districts are persons of the Native race: And whereas by a Proclamation duly made and issued, bearing date the twenty-first day of December, one thousand eight hundred and seventy, the Governor in Council, in pursuance and exercise of the said recited power and authority, did define the Districts of Mangonui, Bay of Islands, and Kaipara,
