Fixing Sittings for District Court, Otago Gold Fields.
JAMES FERGUSSON, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and
authority in this behalf enabling me, I, Sir
James Fergusson, the Governor of the Colony of
New Zealand, do hereby fix and appoint that sittings
of the District Court of the Otago Gold Fields,
during the months of September and October next,
shall be held as follows:—
In the Resident Magistrate's Court at Naseby
on the second Wednesday in September next.
In the Resident Magistrate's Court at Clyde on
the Monday next after the second Wednesday
in September next.
In the Resident Magistrate's Court at Queens-
town on the Monday second after the second
Wednesday in September next.
In the Resident Magistrate's Court at Lawrence
on the second Tuesday in October next.
Provided that in case any of the days so fixed as
aforesaid shall happen to be a holiday, then the
Court appointed for that day shall be holden on the
first day thereafter, not being a holiday.
Issued this fifteenth day of July, one
thousand eight hundred and seventy-
three.

THE following Acts passed by the Provincial
Council and reserved by the Superintendent of
the Province of Hawke's Bay for the signification of
the Governor's pleasure thereon, intituled,
"The Credit Act, 1873;"
"The Cattle Trespass Impounding Act Amend-
ment Act, 1873;" and
"The Appropriation Act, 1873;"
having been laid before the Governor, His Excellency
has been pleased to assent to the same.

IN compliance with a Resolution of the House
of Representatives, passed on 22nd October,
1872, a Bonus is hereby offered for the encourage-
ment of certain Colonial Industries, namely :—
IRON.
BONUS OF £5,000.
For the production in New Zealand of 1,000 tons
weight of Pig Iron, of marketable quality.
Conditions.
- The bonus not to be given for any quantity less
than 100 tons. - Notice of the intention to erect Iron Works
and claim the bonus must be given to the Colonial
Secretary before 31st December, 1873. - The bonus must be claimed before the 30th
June, 1875. - In the event of more than one claimant giving
such notice, not more than seven-tenths of the bonus
may be claimed by the first producer, and not more
than three-tenths by the second producer; but if
only one claimant becomes a producer on the above
conditions, he may claim the whole of the bonus. - The Iron in respect of which any bonus is
claimed will be examined by an officer to be appointed
by the Government, who may require the production
of bona fide account sales of quantities not less than
100 tons weight, showing that such iron has been
sold at a fair market price as Pig Iron.
SUGAR.
BONUS OF £2,000.
For the production of 250 tons of Sugar manufac-
tured from Beetroot in New Zealand.
Conditions.
- Notice of the intention to claim this bonus
must be given to the Colonial Secretary before 31st
December, 1873.
