the West by the County of Westland; on the South
by the Province of Otago to the Hakateramea, and by
the Waimate District to the sea; and on the East
by the sea coast.

  1. WAIMATE DISTRICT.
    Bounded on the North by the Makikihi, from the
    sea to the source of its middle branch; thence by a
    straight line to Mount Two Peaks; thence following
    the Hunter's Hill Range to Mount Nimrod; thence
    by the stream forming the boundary between Runs
    163 and 213 to the Hakateramea; on the West by
    the Hakateramea; on the South by the Waitangi;
    and on the East by the sea.

PROVINCE OF OTAGO.

  1. OAMARU DISTRICT.
    Comprises all that area bounded on the North and
    North-east by the Province of Canterbury; on the
    East by the ocean; on the South by the northern
    branch of the Kakanui River to its source, and thence
    by a line in a westerly direction to the Kakanui
    Mountains; towards the West by the Kakanui
    Mountains, the Hawkdun Mountains, and the
    Dunstan Mountains, from Mount St. Bathans to the
    Province of Canterbury.

  2. HAMILTON DISTRICT.
    Comprises all that area bounded by a line pro-
    ceeding from Lammerlaw, along the western water-
    shed of the Upper Taieri River, to South Roughridge
    Hill; thence to North Roughridge Hill; thence to
    Mount Ida; thence along the ranges to Kyeburn
    Hill; thence to Kakanui Peak; thence along the
    northern and western boundary of the Hyde District
    to Sutton's Stream; thence along Sutton's Stream
    to its source; and thence to Lammerlaw, the starting
    point.

  3. HYDE DISTRICT.
    Comprises all that area bounded towards the
    North by the Taieri River and Run 203, from Sow-
    burn to Kakanui Peak; thence along the north-
    eastern and south-eastern boundaries of Run 255 to
    Deep Dell Creek, at its junction with the Waihemo
    River; thence due south to a point due east of the
    north-eastern corner of Run 307; thence westerly
    to Run 307; thence along the south-eastern boundary
    of the said Run 307 and Sutton's Stream to the Rock
    and Pillar Ranges; thence along the western bound-
    aries of Runs 213 and 214 to the Taieri River, at
    the junction of Sowburn, the starting point.

  4. OTEPOPO DISTRICT.
    Comprises all that area bounded towards the North
    by the northern branch of the Kakanui River to its
    source, and thence by a line in a westerly direction
    to the Kakanui Mountains; towards the East by the
    ocean; and towards the South-west by the Horse
    Range and the Kakanui Mountains.

  5. PALMERSTON DISTRICT.
    Comprises all that area bounded towards the
    North-east by the Otepopo District; towards the
    South-east by the ocean; towards the South-west
    by Pleasant River from its outlet to a point due east
    of Mount Pleasant; towards the South by a straight
    line extending due east and west from Pleasant River
    to the north branch of the Waikouaiti River and
    passing across Mount Pleasant; and towards the
    West by the Waikouaiti River and the Hyde
    District.

  6. WAIKOUAITI DISTRICT.
    Comprises all that area bounded towards the
    North-west by the Hyde District; towards the
    North-east by the Palmerston District; towards the
    South-east by the ocean; and towards the South and
    South-west by the Dunedin, North Taieri, and West
    Taieri Districts.

  7. PORT CHALMERS DISTRICT.
    All that area comprising the Town of Port Chal-
    mers, the Lower Harbour West Survey District, the
    Sawyer's Bay Survey District, sections numbered 88
    to 115 inclusive, North-east Valley Survey District,
    and Blocks 4, 5, 6, and part of 7, North Harbour and
    Blueskin Survey District. Bounded from the north-
    west corner of Block 4, North Harbour and Blueskin
    Survey District, in a southerly direction, by the
    western boundary line of the said Block IV. to the
    northern boundary line of Block VI., North Harbour
    and Blueskin Survey District; thence by the said
    northern boundary line of the said Block VI., and the
    northern boundary line of Block VII., North Har-
    bour and Blueskin Survey District, to the Main
    North Road; thence by the Main North Road to the
    northern boundary line of the North-east Valley
    Survey District; thence in a westerly direction by the
    said northern boundary line of the North-east Valley
    Survey District to a road line between Sections 87 and
    89 of the said district; thence by the said road line
    continued between Sections 86 and 88, North-east
    Valley Survey District, to the northern boundary line
    of Block IX., North Harbour and Blueskin Survey
    District; thence in an easterly direction by the said
    northern boundary line of the said Block IX., to the
    north-west corner of Section 33, Sawyer's Bay
    Survey District; thence in a south-easterly direction
    by the boundary line of the said Sawyer's Bay Survey
    District to Otago Harbour; and thence by high
    watermark to the starting point.

  8. DUNEDIN DISTRICT.
    Comprises all that area bounded on the North by
    the Waihemo Creek, Blueskin Bay, and the ocean;
    on the East and South by the Port Chalmers District
    and by the ocean; and on the West by Kaikorai and
    Abbott's Creeks; thence by the watershed of the
    Kaikorai Flagstaff and Swampy Hill Ranges to the
    source of the Waihemo Creek.

  9. NORTH TAIERI DISTRICT.
    Comprises all that area bounded towards the
    North by the Waikouaiti District; towards the
    East by the Dunedin District to the south-eastern
    corner of Block IV., Dunedin and East Taieri
    Survey District; towards the South by a line round
    the southern boundary of the said block to the
    boundary line between sections numbered respec-
    tively 1 and 7, Block XIII., East Taieri Survey
    District; thence along that boundary line and its
    continuation in the same direction to the road line
    between Block VIII. and Irregular Block; thence
    along that road line to another road line between
    Block XIX. and Irregular Block; thence along that
    road line and its continuation to the Taieri River;
    and towards the West by the Taieri River.

  10. WEST TAIERI DISTRICT.
    Comprises all that area bounded towards the North
    towards the East by the Waikouaiti, North Taieri, and
    East Taieri Districts; towards the South by Toko-
    mairiro District; and towards the South-west by
    Waipori District.

  11. EAST TAIERI DISTRICT.
    Comprises all that area bounded towards the North
