FIRST SCHEDULE.
Limits, Description, Line, and Limits of Deviation of
a portion of the Railway from Brunner to Grey-
mouth, being that portion lying between a point on
the South Bank of the Grey River, opposite the
Brunner Coal Mine, to Greymouth, in the County of
Westland.
COMMENCING at a point on Mawhera Quay, Grey-
mouth; thence through Native Reserve No. 31;
thence through Reserve No. 4 (in red) and Rural
Block I., Grey District; thence through Native
Reserve No. 33; thence through Coal Reserve No.
274 (in red) as the limits, description, and line
thereof are set forth on the plan and described in the
book of reference referred to on the face of the said
plan, and which plan and book are authenticated for
the purposes of this Proclamation by the signature
of the Honorable William Hunter Reynolds, Minister
acting for the Minister for Public Works, to be
deposited in the office of the Registrar of the Supreme
Court at Hokitika, or within the limits of deviation
set forth in the said plan by dotted red lines, being
not more than one hundred and ten yards on either
side of the said line, and passing through or over the
several sections of Crown and other lands, sections,
reserves, roads, watercourses, rivers, and beaches, as
enumerated in the Second Schedule hereto.
SECOND SCHEDULE,
OR BOOK OF REFERENCE.
Lands and Roads proposed to be taken for the purposes
of the Railway from a point on the South Bank of
the Grey River, opposite the Brunner Coal Mine,
to Greymouth.
So much of the lands and roads hereinafter men-
tioned as are required for the said railway along the
line of the said railway hereinbefore defined, or
within the limits of deviation aforesaid, as the lands
are described and defined in the plan or book of
reference aforesaid.
Mawhera Quay, Town Sections 1, 2, 86, 87, 88,
89, Mackay Street, Mount Street, Lots IX., X., 8,
324, 323, 326, 322, 227, 228, Native Reserve No. 31,
Public Roads, Reserve No. 4, Grey District Block
I., Rural Sections 7798, 1233, 1237, 1105, 1111,
1316, 7804, 1363, 1323, 1818, 1115, 1140, 1306, 1099,
1161, 1098, 1113, Native Reserve No. 33, and Coal
Reserve No. 274; and all adjoining and intervening
Crown and other lands, sections, reserves, roads,
watercourses, rivers, and beaches.

Sir George Alfred Arney, Knight, the
Officer Administering the Government,
and Commander-in-Chief in and over
Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand
and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral
of the same; and issued under the Seal
of the said Colony, at Wellington,
this first day of May, in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-three.

Upset Price and Size of Sections fixed under "The
Westland Waste Lands Act, 1870."

IN pursuance of the power and authority vested in
me for that purpose by the thirty-third section
of "The Westland Waste Lands Act, 1870," I do
hereby authorize the sale of the Greenstone Town-
ship, as described in the attached Schedule, at the
upset price of thirty-five pounds per acre; and I do
hereby determine that the size of the sections shall
be one-eighth of an acre,---the upset price and size
of such sections, hereby determined, being fixed in
accordance with the recommendation of the County
Council of Westland, as expressed in a resolution
passed by that body on the nineteenth day of March,
one thousand eight hundred and seventy-three.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the County of Westland
situated in the Grey District, opposite the old Green-
stone Township, containing eleven (11) acres, more or
less, and bounded on the North-east by a line bearing
155Β° 36' magnetic through road traverse peg No. 42;
on the South-east and South by lines 270 links dis-
tant and parallel to road traverse lines 4241 and
4140; on the South-east by a line 275 links east of
road traverse peg No. 40, and bearing 172Β° 2' mag-
netic; and on the North and North-west by the
Hohonu River.
Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir
George Alfred Arney, Knight, Adminis-
trator of the Government, and Com-
mander-in-Chief in and over Her Ma-
jesty's Colony of New Zealand and its
Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the
same; and issued at Wellington, this
twenty-ninth day of April, in the year of
our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and seventy-three.

Regulations affecting Reserves to be made under
"The Railways Act, 1871."

WHEREAS by "The Railways Act, 1871," it is,
among other things, enacted that the lands
described in the Fourth Schedule thereto shall be
taken for the purposes therein mentioned, and that
the said lands shall be subject to be dealt with under
certain provisions of "The Immigration and Public
Works Act, 1870," and the sixtieth and sixty-fifth
sections of "The Immigration and Public Works
Act Amendment Act, 1871:" And whereas it is
expedient that regulations should be made for the
purposes hereinafter set forth:
Now therefore, I, Sir George Alfred Arney, Knight,
the Officer Administering the Government of New
Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of all powers and
authorities enabling me in that behalf under or by
virtue of the hereinbefore mentioned Acts or any of
them, do hereby make the Regulations set forth in the
Schedule hereto for the purposes therein mentioned.
