NOTICE is hereby given, that the parcel of
land hereinafter described will be brought
under the provisions of "The Land Transfer Act,
1870," unless caveat in the meantime be lodged for-
bidding the same.
Allotments 44 and 45, adjoining each other on the
subdivision of Rural Section 48, in the District of
Opawa, containing in the aggregate two roods.
Bounded-on the North by a public road, 250 links;
on the East by the Grove Road, 200 links; on the

Copper Mining Company, Limited," must be
sent in to the undersigned on or before the 31st day
of May next, after which date no claim will be
recognized.

NOTICE. - In the matter of a Bill intituled "An
Act to authorize the Municipal Corporation of
the City of Wellington to construct Works for the
Drainage of the City, and otherwise to provide for
the more effectual Removal of Refuse Matter there-
from, and the Suppression of Nuisances therein, and
to borrow Money for the purposes of such Works:"
Notice is hereby given, that application will be
made at the next sitting of the General Assembly of
New Zealand for leave to bring in a Bill to authorize
the Municipal Corporation of the City of Wellington
to construct Works for the Drainage of the City, and
otherwise to provide for the more effectual Removal
of Refuse Matter therefrom, and the Suppression of
Nuisances therein, and to borrow Money for the
purposes of such Works; and that amongst other
powers which will be applied for will be powers to
enter upon private lands for the purpose of construct-
ing and maintaining such main and other drains and
sewers as may be necessary for the effectual carrying
out of the proposed works.
Copies of the proposed Bill will be deposited at the
office, in the City of Wellington, of the Colonial
Secretary of New Zealand, and at the office, in the
City of Wellington, of the Commissioner of Crown
Lands for the Province of Wellington, on the 26th
day of May, 1873.
