NOTICE is hereby given, that the deepening operations
at the Inner Bar have so far progressed that a depth
of 12 feet has been attained at low water spring
tides.

General Assembly of New Zealand, passed in
the eighteenth year of the reign of Her Majesty
Queen Victoria, and intituled "The Marriage Act,
1854," the following names of Officiating Ministers,
within the meaning of the said Act, are published for
general information:-

I, JOHN B. BENNETT, Registrar-General of Births,
Deaths, and Marriages in New Zealand, do hereby
certify that the foregoing Names of Officiating
Ministers, within the meaning of "The Marriage
Act, 1854," have been sent in to me, in addition to
the names in Lists published in the New Zealand
Gazette, No. 6, of the 31st of January; No. 9, of the
19th of February; No. 13, of the 14th of March;
No. 14, of the 23rd of March; No. 16, of the 4th of
April; No. 19, of the 24th of April; No. 24, of
the 17th of May; No. 31, of the 22nd of June; No.
32, of the 1st of July; No. 33, of the 10th of July;
and No. 34, of the 15th of July, in the present year.

Given under my hand, at Wellington, this
twenty-first day of August, one thousand
eight hundred and seventy-two.

I, JOHN MUIR WAYLAND, Registrar of Joint
Stock Companies for the Provinces of Auckland
and Hawke's Bay, in the Colony of New Zealand, do
hereby notify that I have registered a Memorandum
of Association, with Articles of Association, estab-
lishing a Company, with limited liability of the
shareholders therein, entitled

"The Juno Gold Mining Company, Limited."

The objects for which the Company is established
are-

  1. To acquire by purchase or otherwise the mining
    property or claim situate at Paul's Creek, at the
    Coromandel Gold Field, in the Province of Auckland,
    known as the "Juno," and to carry on mining
    operations of any kind within or under the said
    mining property or claim.

  2. To acquire other land by purchase or otherwise,
    and to amalgamate with other Claims and Companies.

  3. To enter into arrangements whereby share-
    holders, or some of them, in other Companies, may

receive in compensation or part compensation for the
sale of their interests paid up or partly paid up
or other shares in the Company.

  1. To purchase, erect, work, hire, and let machinery
    of all kinds connected with the working of mines,
    and the rendering the ores therefrom available.

  2. To let, sell, or otherwise dispose of or deal with
    any property whatever of the Company, as the Com-
    pany thinks fit.

  3. And to do all such other things as are incidental
    or conducive to the attainment of the above objects.

And that, in pursuance of the provisions of "The
Joint Stock Companies Act, 1860," I have issued a
Certificate of Incorporation of the said Company,
bearing date this sixth day of August, 1872.

TENDERS are invited for the Erection of a Post
Office and Telegraph Station at Richmond, in
the Province of Nelson.

General conditions, specifications, and drawings
may be seen at the Offices of the Colonial Architect,
Wellington, and at the Post Office, Nelson.

Tenders will be received by the undersigned, up to
noon on Monday, the 2nd of September..

The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.

PATENT for "A Lifting Machine for the Saving of
Manual Labour in raising Soil, Sand, Washdirt,
&c., and more particularly adapted to the Gold
Workings of the West Coast of the Middle Island of
New Zealand."

This is to notify, that ROBERT ATKINSON, of
Seventeen-Mile Beach, Province of Nelson, New
Zealand, Miner, did, on the second day of August
instant, deposit at the office of the Patent Officer, in
the Colonial Secretary's Office, in Wellington, a
specification or instrument in writing under his
hand and seal, particularly describing and ascertaining
the nature of the said Invention, and in what
manner the same is to be performed; and that, by
reason of such deposit, the said Invention is pro-
tected and secured to him exclusively for the term of
six calendar months thence next ensuing.

And I do further notify, that the said Robert
Atkinson has given notice in writing at my office
of his intention to proceed with his application
for Letters Patent for the said Invention, and
that I have appointed Friday, the tenth day of
January next, at eleven o'clock in the forenoon,
at my office, to hear and consider the said applica-
tion and all objections thereto; ; and I do hereby
require all persons having an interest in opposing
the grant of such Letters Patent to leave, on or
before the sixth day of January next, at my
office, in Wellington, particulars in writing of their
objections to the said application, otherwise they will
be precluded from urging the same.

Given under my hand this second day of August,
1872.
