Now therefore, His Excellency the Governor, by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council, doth hereby declare that the assent of the
aboriginal inhabitants to the bringing the piece of
land described in the Schedule hereunder written
under the operation of "The Native Reserves Act,
1856," has been ascertained.

SCHEDULE.
ALL the Native Reserve at Waikokopu, known as
Ihaka Whanga's Reserve, and lying in the Nuhaka
and Kopu Whare Blocks, and containing 693 acres
and 37 perches.
I, Charles Heaphy, a person duly appointed in this
behalf under the provisions of "The New Zealand
Native Reserves Act, 1856," hereby certify and
report that I have ascertained that the aboriginal
inhabitants entitled to the piece or parcel of land
described in the Schedule hereunder written have
assented that the said piece or parcel of land shall be
subject to the provisions of the said Act.
As witness my hand, this seventeenth day of
July, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-
two.

REPORT adopted this twenty-fourth day of July, one
thousand eight hundred and seventy-two, with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this
thirty-first day of July, 1872.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by an Order in Council made on the
17th day of July, 1872, in pursuance of the
powers enabling the Governor in that behalf by
the New Zealand Settlements Acts, it was ordered
that certain sections in the Township of Opunake
should be sold as set forth in the Schedule thereto:
And whereas in the Order in Council the Schedule
above referred to has been erroneously stated :
Now therefore, His Excellency the Governor, in
pursuance and exercise of all powers and authorities
enabling him in this behalf, and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of New Zealand,
doth hereby revoke the said Order in Council of the
17th day of July, 1872, so far as relates to the
matters cited in the said Schedule; and doth hereby
order that the said sections shall and may be sold
to the person and the Flax Company respectively,
and at the prices specified in the Schedule hereto;
and that John Stephenson Smith, Esquire, the Com-
missioner of Crown Lands for the Province of
Taranaki, shall and may conduct the said sale.

IN pursuance of the power and authority vested in
me for that purpose by the fifty-ninth section
of "The Westland Waste Lands Act, 1870," I do
hereby approve of the recommendation of the Waste
Lands Board of the County of Westland, of the 18th
of June, 1872, that the value of the improvements on
Suburban Section No. 1423, near the Town of Grey-
mouth, shall be added to the upset price thereof,
such valuation having been ascertained and decided
by the Waste Lands Board on the 18th day of
June, 1872.
Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir
George Ferguson Bowen, Knight Grand
Cross of the Most Distinguished Order
of Saint Michael and Saint George,
Governor and Commander-in-Chief in
and over Her Majesty's Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-

eight hundred and seventy-two.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and
authority in this behalf enabling me, I, Sir
George Ferguson Bowen, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, do hereby fix and appoint that
sittings of the District Court of the Otago Gold
Fields, during the months of September and October
next, shall be held as follows:-
In the Resident Magistrate's Court at Naseby
on the second Wednesday in September next.
In the Resident Magistrate's Court at Clyde on
the Monday next after the second Wednesday
in September next.
In the Resident Magistrate's Court at Queens-
town on the Monday second after the second
Wednesday in September next.
In the Resident Magistrate's Court at Lawrence
on the second Tuesday in October next.
Provided that in case any of the days so fixed as
aforesaid shall happen to be a holiday, then the
Court appointed for that day shall be holden on the
first day thereafter, not being a holiday.
Issued this thirty-first day of July, one
thousand eight hundred and seventy-two.
