ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At Wellington, the fourth day of July, 1872.
Present:
THE HONORABLE WILLIAM FOX, PRIME MINISTER,
PRESIDING, AND MEMBERS OF THE EXECUTIVE
COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by "The Marine Act, 1867," it is,
among other things, enacted that the Governor
may fix the pilotage rates which shall be payable at
each port, not being greater than the rates specified
in the Schedule to the said Act: And whereas, by
Order in Council dated the sixth day of October,
one thousand eight hundred and sixty-nine, and
made under the provisions of the said Act, certain
pilotage rates were fixed for the Port of Mana-
watu: And whereas it is expedient to fix other
rates in lieu thereof as and in manner hereinafter
mentioned:
Now therefore, His Excellency Sir George Ferguson
Bowen, the Governor of New Zealand, by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of
the Colony, and in exercise and pursuance of the
power and authority vested in him by the said Act,
doth hereby fix the rates set forth in the Schedule
hereto as and to be the pilotage rates to be levied and
taken at the Port of Manawatu: And with the like
advice and consent doth order that the said pilotage
rates shall be levied and taken on and after the first
day of July, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-
two, all former pilotage rates at the said port being
from the said date repealed.

IN exercise of the power in me for this purpose
vested by "The Customs Regulation Act, 1858,"
I, Sir George Ferguson Bowen, the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint that the
limits of the
PORT OF RUSSELL
shall be within the arc of a circle the centre of
which is Kororareka Point, the radius of such arc
measuring two (2) nautic miles in length; that the
Boarding Station shall be in Kororareka Bay, within
a line from Kororareka Point to Tore Tore Peninsula,
Wahapu Bay; and that the legal Landing Place
shall be the Strand between Kent Street and Cass
Street, in the Township of Russell.

and over Her Majesty's Colony of New

Lord one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-two.

IN exercise of the power in me vested by "The
Customs Regulation Act, 1858," I, Sir George
Ferguson Bowen, the Governor of the Colony of
New Zealand, do hereby annul the order dated the
8th day of October, 1869, in which the limits of the
legal Landing Place for the Port of Thames were set
out and appointed, and in lieu thereof do declare
and appoint that, from the day of the date hereof,
the Beach Frontage extending from Albert Street to
Haven Street, in the Town of Grahamstown, in-
cluding the Wharf at the foot of Albert Street
known as "Grahamstown Wharf," and the Wharf
at the foot of Burke Street, shall be the legal Landing
Places for the lading and unlading of goods under
"The Customs Regulation Act, 1858."

guson Bowen, the Governor of the Colony of New
Zealand, do hereby nominate and appoint the persons
hereinafter named to be Trustees of the Invercargill
Savings Bank, namely-
J. BLACKLOCK, and
F. W. WADE.
And I do hereby accept the resignation, as Trustees
of the Invercargill Savings Bank, of the persons
hereinafter named-
JOHN HAY, and
Dr. DECK.
