IN pursuance of the power and authority vested in
me for that purpose by "The Westland Waste
Lands Act, 1870," I do hereby determine that the
Township of Mahinapau, in the County of Westland,
as the same is defined by a Proclamation made the
twenty-seventh day of June, one thousand eight
hundred and seventy-two, shall be surveyed and
divided into sections containing one quarter of an
acre each, and that such sections shall be sold as
in manner directed by the said Act, at the upset
price of thirty-five pounds per acre, the size of such
sections and the upset price thereof hereby deter-
mined being fixed in accordance with the recommen-
dation of the County Council of the said County, as
expressed in a resolution passed by that body on the
twenty-second day of February, one thousand eight
hundred and seventy-two.

Cross of the Most Distinguished Order
of Saint Michael and Saint George,
Governor and Commander-in-Chief in
and over Her Majesty's Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-

THE following Acts, passed by the General Assem-
bly of New Zealand, in the Session held in the
thirty-fifth year of the reign of Her Majesty Queen
Victoria, intituled
No. 3, "The Customs Tariff Act, 1871,"
No. 61, "The Merchant Ships Officers Ex-
amination Act Amendment Act, 1871,"
No. 77, "The Wellington Special Settlements
Act, 1871,"
having been laid before the Queen, in conformity
with the provisions of the Constitution Act, His
Excellency the Governor has been informed by the
Secretary of State that Her Majesty will not be
advised to exercise her power of disallowance with
respect to those Acts.
