PURSUANT to the provisions of an Act of the
General Assembly of New Zealand, passed in
the eighteenth year of the reign of Her Majesty
Queen Victoria, and intituled "The Marriage Act,
1854," the following names of Officiating Ministers,
within the meaning of the said Act, are published for
general information:-

United Church of England and Ireland.
The Reverend REGINALD R. BRADLEY.

Presbyterian Church of Otago and Southland.
The Reverend JOHN MCARA.

I, JOHN B. BENNETT, Registrar-General of Births,
Deaths, and Marriages in New Zealand, do hereby
certify that the foregoing Names of Officiating
Ministers, within the meaning of "The Marriage
Act, 1854," have been sent in to the Registrar-
General in addition to the names in Lists published
in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 6, of the 31st of
January; No. 9, of the 19th of February; No.
13, of the 14th of March; No. 14, of the 23rd of
March; No. 16, of the 4th of April; No. 19, of the
24th of April; and No. 24, of the 17th of May, in
the present year.

Given under my hand, at Wellington, this
fourteenth day of June, one thousand
eight hundred and seventy-two.

1867:" Notice is hereby given, that transcripts
of the By-laws of

pendent Order of Odd Fellows, Manchester
Unity;"

"The Loyal Duke of Cambridge Lodge, Inde-

of Friendly Societies, registered and recorded in his

THE following Notice to Mariners, received from
the Government of the Cape of Good Hope, is
published for general information.

Colonial Office, Cape of Good Hope,
18th January, 1872.

His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to
direct the publication, for general information, of the
following Notice to Mariners, reporting the existence
and the position of a Rock discovered between Algoa
Bay and Port Natal.

A REEF having been reported by Captain Staats, of
the s.s. "Bismarck," off the St. John's River, and
upon which that vessel touched in December last, on
her voyage to Natal,—Notice is hereby given that
its approximate position is with Cape Hermes bearing
West magnetic 2½ miles, and three-quarters of a
mile off shore. The rock has 12 feet water on it,
with a deep channel between it and the shore.

This rock was also reported by Captain Diver, of
the R.M. Steamer "Natal," who saw it breaking in the
above position.

LAND TRANSFER ACT NOTICES.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the several parcels
of land hereinafter described will be brought
under the provisions of "The Land Transfer Act,
1870," unless caveat in the meantime be lodged
forbidding the same.

Part of Section No. 5, in the District of Wairau
Valley, containing 30 acres. Bounded on the North
by a public road, 658 links; on the West by Section
No. 7, 4600 links; on the South by land, the pro-
perty of C. Watts, 652 links; and on the East by
other part of said Section No. 5, 4527 links.—
ALFRED JOHN LITCHFIELD, of Renwick Road,
Farmer, Applicant.

Part 1 of Section No. 8, in the District of Omaka,
containing 11 acres and 2 perches. Commencing at
a distance of 880 links from the south-western corner
of said Section No. 8, and is bounded towards the
South, 520 links, by a public road 75 links wide;
thence on the East, 2022 links, at right angles to the
last line by other part of the said Part 1 of Section
No. 8; thence on the North, 584 links, by other part
