Colours of the Postage Stamps issued in the
Colony of the denominations of One Penny, Two
Pence, and Six Pence, it is hereby notified for public
information that in future the Colours of such Stamps
will be respectively as follows:---
One Penny ... ... Brown..
Two Penny ... ... Light-red.
Six Penny ... ... Dark-blue.

A PROCLAMATION.
By His Honor Arthur Penrose Seymour, Esquire,
Superintendent of the Province of Marlborough,
in the Colony of New Zealand.
IN pursuance of the powers delegated to me under
the authority of "The Diseased Cattle Act, 1861,"
and "The Diseased Cattle Act Amendment Act,
1865," by His Excellency the Governor in Council,
on the fourth day of May, 1870, I, Arthur Penrose
Seymour, the Superintendent of the Province of
Marlborough, do hereby declare and proclaim that, on
and after the seventh day of October instant, the
District of Kaikoura-that is to say, all the land
which lies to the South of the Clarence River in the
said Province-shall be deemed to be an Infected
District within the meaning of the said Acts.
Given under my hand, at Blenheim, this
eighteenth day of September, one thousand
eight hundred and seventy-one.
