"THE TARANAKI STEAM NAVIGATION COMPANY
(LIMITED),"
the objects of which are "the purchase of a steamer
or steamers for insuring direct and regular communi-
cation between Taranaki and other parts of the
Colony;" and that, in pursuance of the provisions
of "The Joint Stock Companies Act, 1860," I have
issued a Certificate of Incorporation of the said Com-
pany, bearing date the 6th day of March, 1871.

I, JOHN ELISHA SMITH, Registrar of Joint
Stock Companies for the Province of Wellington,
do hereby notify that I have this day registered a
Memorandum of Association, with Articles of Asso-
ciation annexed, establishing a Company, with limited
liability of the shareholders therein, entitled
"THE MASTERTON FLAX COMPANY (LIMITED)."
The objects for which the Company is established
are expressed to be "the preparation and dressing
of New Zealand Flax by the process patented by
Spiridion Rikys, and such other ways and means as
may be from time to time determined upon; and the
manufacture of scrim cloth, wool packs, and other
articles of a like nature, and the doing all such other
things as are incidental or conducive to the attain-
ment of the above objects or any of them."
And I further notify, that in pursuance of the
provisions of "The Joint Stock Companies Act, 1860,"
a Certificate of Incorporation of the said Company
has been duly issued, bearing even date herewith.

DISTRICT COURT AT GISBORNE, IN POVERTY BAY.
NOTICE is hereby given, that four Quarter-yearly
Sessions of the District Court of Hawke's Bay
will be holden in each year at Gisborne, in Poverty
Bay, in the Province of Auckland. Such Sessions
shall commence, respectively, on the first day of
January, April, July, and October, in the present
and each succeeding year, and shall end, respectively,
on the last day of March, June, September, and
December, in every such year; the first and last days
of each Quarter-yearly Session shall be inclusive.
The Court will sit for the despatch of Civil and
Criminal business on every day, during each Quarter-
yearly Session, commencing at 10 o'clock in the
forenoon, except on Sundays, Court holidays, and
such days as the Judge, owing to absence, illness, or
other cause, may be unable to attend.

tiate of the Royal College of Physicians of
Edinburgh, Member of the Royal College of Sur-
geons of England, Licentiate of the Society of
Apothecaries of London, and Licentiate in Midwifery
(registered in England as practising in Auckland,
New Zealand), residing in Wellesley Street, Auckland,
hereby give notice that I intend to apply, on the 1st
day of May, 1871, to have my name placed in the
Register of Medical Practitioners in the Colony of
New Zealand, and I herewith forward my Diplomas,
with attested copies of the same, for public inspec-
tion, in accordance with clauses 13 and 14 of "The
Medical Practitioners Registration Act, 1869."
