LAND TRANSFER ACT NOTICES.

Lands Registry Office, Invercargill.

WHEREAS the person named at foot hereof has
for himself made application to have the land
set forth and described after his name brought
under the operation of "The Land Transfer Act,
1870," notice is hereby given, that unless caveat be
lodged with the District Land Registrar of the
District of Southland, by some person having estate
or interest in the said land, on or before the date
herein below specified, the said piece of land will be
brought under the operation of the said Act as by
law directed. Diagrams delineating the said parcel
of land may be inspected at the Land Registry Office,
Invercargill.

BERNARD EKENSTEEN, of Invercargill, Mer-
chant.-20 perches, southern half of Section No. 11,
Block LXIV., Town of Invercargill.

Caveat must be lodged within one calendar month
after the date of publication of this notice.

NOTICE.

DUNEDIN AND PORT CHALMERS RAILWAY.

NOTICE is hereby given, that it is intended to
introduce a Bill into the Provincial Council of
Otago, at its next Session, authorizing David Proud-
foot, of Dunedin, in the Province of Otago and
Colony of New Zealand, contractor; Richard Oliver,
of Dunedin aforesaid, ironmonger; and Thomas
Birt Ulph, of Dunedin aforesaid, ironmonger,-the
promoters of the undertaking authorized by "The
Dunedin and Port Chalmers Railway Lands Com-
pulsory Taking Ordinance, 1870,"-to take compul-
sorily, for the purposes of the Railway from Port
Chalmers, in the said Province, to the City of
Dunedin, in the said Province, authorized by the
said Ordinance, and of constructing wharves, jetties,
and other necessary erections, for the purpose of
enabling ships and vessels to load and discharge
their cargoes, and land and take in passengers from
and to such railway, the lands or portions of the
lands mentioned in the Schedule hereunder written:

And notice is hereby further given, that a copy of
the Bill so intended to be introduced as aforesaid
may be inspected at the office of the Clerk of the
said Provincial Council, on and after the twenty-
eighth day of April next ensuing the date hereof.

PROVINCIAL COMPULSORY LAND TAKING ACT,
1866.

NOTICE is hereby given, that it is intended to
introduce a Bill into the Provincial Council of
the Province of Otago, at its next Session, authoriz-
ing the Superintendent of the Province of Otago to
take compulsorily, for the purpose of completing a
Road in the Kurimoto Road District, parts of Sections
numbered respectively five and six, Block thirty,
Waihola Survey District, of the Province of Otago
aforesaid; and for the purpose of completing a Road
in the Port Molyneux Road District, a part of Section
numbered fifteen, Block two, Glenoamaru Survey
District, of the Province of Otago aforesaid. And
notice is hereby further given, that a copy of the Bill
so intended to be introduced as aforesaid may be
inspected at the office of the Clerk of the Provincial
Council on and after the twentieth day of April
next.

NEW ZEALAND RAILWAYS.

TENDERS are invited by the Colonial Government
for the construction of Sections No. 2 and 3 of
the Otago Southern Trunk Railway, extending from
Caversham to the Chain Hills, and including the
Look-out Point Tunnel.

Drawings and specifications may be seen on and
after Monday, the 24th April, at the office of W. N.
Blair, C.E., Dunedin, where tenders will be received
until noon of Wednesday, the 31st May.

The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

THE Partnership hitherto existing between the
