TENDERS for Binding Gazettes, Books, and other
Documents for the Government during the
twelve calendar months commencing the 1st April
next, will be received at this Office until noon of
Friday, the 24th instant. A bond-the contractor
in the sum of £250, and two approved sureties £250
each-for the due performance of the contract will
be required to be entered into within a month of the
acceptance of the contract.
The Tenders should specify the price per volume
for the following books, namely:-
Demy folio books, four quires and under:-Half-
bound, rough calf, cloth sides, gilt lettered on
back, short title and date.
For every additional quire.
Foolscap folio books, ditto:-Half-bound, calf, cloth
sides, gilt lettered on back, short title and date.

willing to contract for the Carting required by the
General Government at Wellington, for the twelve

of Te Aro within half a mile of the Post Office,
to any of the General Government Offices

I, FITZHERBERT DERMOTT, the Medical Officer in
attendance at the execution of Anthony Noble
at the Upper Gaol at Hokitika, do hereby certify and
declare, that I have this day witnessed the execution
of the said Anthony Noble at the said Gaol.
And I do further certify and declare, that the said
Anthony Noble was, in pursuance of the sentence of
the Supreme Court, hanged by the neck until his
body was dead.
Given under my hand this sixteenth day of
February, in the year 1871, at the Upper
Gaol, at Hokitika.
