WITH reference to the Notification published in
the New Zealand Gazette, of the 12th March,
1870, offering rewards for the discovery of offences
against the Arms Acts, the under-mentioned Notice,
increasing the rewards, is substituted in lieu thereof,
to take effect from this date:—
A Reward of £300 will be paid to any one giving
such information as will lead to the conviction of any
person guilty of the capital offence of supplying
Arms and Ammunition to Rebels, under the thirty-
third section of "The Arms Act Amendment Act,
1869."

A Reward of £100 will be paid to any one giving
such information as will lead to the conviction of any
person guilty of a felony or misdemeanour under any
of the following sections of "The Arms Act, 1860,"
that is to say, sections twenty-six, twenty-seven,
twenty-eight, twenty-nine, thirty, thirty-six, thirty-
eight, or any amendment or alteration thereof.
The above rewards will be paid only after convic-
tion. The informant's name will not be divulged
without his own consent, except where it is necessary
that he should give evidence in Court.
In the case of accomplices giving information lead-
ing to conviction, a free pardon will be granted in
addition to the reward.

BE ADVERTISED.
Subject of Notices.

  1. In all cases where application is intended to
    be made for leave to bring in a Private Bill,
    notices shall be given, stating the objects of such
    intended application, and the time at which copies
    of the Bill will be deposited in the Colonial
    Secretary's Office, and at the office of the Com-
    missioner of Crown Lands in the principal town
    of the Province in which any lands or houses are
    situate to which the Bill shall refer.
