G. F. BOWEN, Governor.
A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by an Order in Council made on the
first day of November, one thousand eight
hundred and fifty-eight, the Province of Hawke's
Bay was constituted and established under "The
New Provinces Act, 1858," and it is provided by the
Constitution Act that it shall be lawful for the
Governor of New Zealand, by Proclamation or other-
wise, to dissolve the Provincial Council of any
Province, whenever he shall think it expedient so
to do:

Now therefore, I, the Governor of the Colony of
New Zealand, in exercise of the said power, do, by
this Proclamation, dissolve the Provincial Council of
the said Province of Hawke's Bay.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir
George Ferguson Bowen, Knight Grand
Cross of the Most Distinguished Order

thousand acres in extent, and that, in determin-
ing the boundaries of all Hundreds thereafter
proclaimed, due regard shall be paid to the natural
features of the country over which any such Hundred

Now therefore, I, Sir George Ferguson Bowen,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pur-
suance and exercise of all powers and authorities in
me vested, do hereby constitute and proclaim those
