and over Her Majesty's Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-
Admiral of the same, at Auckland, this
twenty-ninth day of January, in the
year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and seventy.

SCHEDULE.

W. GISBORNE.

Lot numbered sixty-five (65) (in red), sixty acres,
more or less, bounded on the Southward by the town
of Hokitika; on the Westward, by Reserve No. 32
(in red); on the Northward, by a line ten chains
distant from and parallel to the Southern boundary;
and on the Eastward by a line sixty-one chains from
and parallel to the Western boundary, subject to a
road: for Government purposes.

Lot number sixty-six (66) (in red), twenty-one
acres, more or less, situate near the mouth of the
Totara Kai Torea River; bounded on the Southward
and Eastward by the said river; and on the West-
ward and Northward by the sea beach and lagoon:
for the purpose of a Ferry.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and autho-
rity in this behalf enabling me, I, Sir George
Ferguson Bowen, the Governor of the Colony of
New Zealand, do hereby fix and appoint that sittings
of the District Court of the Otago Gold Fields,
additional to those already appointed, shall be held
as follows:-

In the Resident Magistrate's Court at Lawrence,
on the second Tuesday in April next.

In the Resident Magistrate's Court at Naseby, on
the second Wednesday in May next.

In the Resident Magistrate's Court at Clyde, on
the Monday next after the second Wednesday
in May next.

In the Resident Magistrate's Court at Queenstown,
on the Monday second after the second Wednes-
day in May next.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this twenty-first day of Jan-
uary, one thousand eight hundred and
seventy.

1867," as printed in the Statute Books, a copy of
that section from the original Roll is reprinted here
for general information.

  1. The preceding provisions of Part XIII. to apply touching
    the express repeal by adopting bye-laws of bye-laws
    repugnant thereto inconsistent therewith or dealing
    or purporting to deal with the subject-matter thereof
    shall apply in the case of all bye-laws made under
    the last preceding section.

December, 1868, granted in England for "Improve-
ments in Machinery for breaking and softening Flax
and other fibrous materials, which improvements are
applicable to Calendering Rollers and other purposes
where the same kind of reciprocating rotary action
can be usefully adopted."
