A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the County Council of Westland has
recommended that the lands described in the
Schedule hereto should be withdrawn as part of the
site of the Town of Greymouth, in the said County:

And whereas such recommendation has been ap-
proved of by the Waste Lands Board of the said
County:

And whereas it is expedient that such land should
be so withdrawn:

Now therefore, I, Sir George Ferguson Bowen, the
Governor of New Zealand, in exercise and in pursu-
ance of all powers enabling me in this behalf, and
on such recommendation as aforesaid, approved of
as aforesaid, do hereby withdraw the lands mentioned
in the Schedule hereto from being part of the site of
the Town of Greymouth, within the meaning and for
the purposes of the Regulations in force for the sale,
letting, disposal, occupation, and management of the
Waste Lands of the Crown within the said County.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir
George Ferguson Bowen, Knight Grand
Cross of the Most Distinguished Order
of Saint Michael and Saint George,
Governor and Commander-in-Chief in
and over Her Majesty's Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-
Admiral of the same; and issued under
the Seal of the said Colony, at Wellington,
this third day of August, in the year of
our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and seventy.

SCHEDULE.

All such part of the Town of Greymouth as pro-
claimed as a site for a town, except that portion
bounded on the Northward by the Grey River; on
the Eastward by the Native Reserve (No. 31), and
Shakespere Street with the road and Railway Reserve;
on the Southward by Marlborough Street; and on the
Westward by the sea coast; and estimated to contain
three hundred (300) acres more or less.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, the
tenth day of August, 1870.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by "The Maori Real Estate Manage-
ment Act, 1867," it is enacted that if any title
to or interest in any hereditaments shall accrue to
any Maoris who, or any of whom, shall be infants,
lunatics, or under legal disability, it shall be lawful
for the Governor in Council, if he think fit, to order
that such hereditaments, or any part thereof, or in-
terest therein, as shall to the Governor in Council be
shown to belong to such infant, lunatic, or other
person under legal disability, shall be vested in
Trustees, as the Governor in Council shall think fit:

And whereas by virtue of a Crown Grant bearing
date the twenty-first day of January, one thousand
eight hundred and seventy, the parcel of land and
hereditaments described in the Schedule hereto be-
came vested in Hori Te Moana and Wata Te Hina,
of the District of Whanganui, in the Province of
Wellington, aboriginal natives of New Zealand:

And whereas the said Hori Te Moana and Wata
Te Hina are infants under the age of twenty-one
years:

Now therefore, His Excellency Sir George Fer-
guson Bowen, the Governor of New Zealand, with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of
the Colony, in exercise and in pursuance of the
powers and authorities vested in him by the said Act,
doth hereby order that the lands described in the
Schedule hereto shall be and remain vested in the
Reverend Richard Taylor, of Whanganui, M.A., and
Clerk in Holy Orders, and Hakaraia Korako, of
Wanganui, an aboriginal native of New Zealand, as
Trustees within the meaning and for the purposes of
the said Act, for the said Hori Te Moana and Wata
Te Hina, their heirs and assigns.

SCHEDULE.

All that parcel of land in our Province of Welling-
ton, in our Colony of New Zealand, containing by
admeasurement sixty-six (66) acres three (3) roods
and twenty-five (25) perches, more or less, situate at
Putiki, in the District of Whanganui, being called or
